Deodar Homestay is a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The large property is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a serene atmosphere. The organic food is a delight, and the friendly pets add to the charm. My daughter had a wonderful time feeding the chickens, ducks, and dogs, staying happily engaged throughout our stay. |The spa and steam bath at the homestay were truly rejuvenating, adding a touch of luxury to the stay. It felt like a heavenly retreat, blending comfort and relaxation perfectly.|The staff is incredibly punctual and attentive. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

We travelled from Melbourne for 3 days and stayed at Deodar Homestay, location was amazing away from the hustle bustle and the rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy. Prakash , Gaurav and Raju look after you so well, cook you the tastiest meals and also make sure your stay is comfortable. If travelling to Kumaon, this is a must stay to relax chill, enjoy the views and get yourself some well earned Pahadi hospitality. |We will be back for sure

A truly wonderful retreat in Almora, perched on a high plateau beside the Circuit House. This unique heritage property, available under the state's HomeStay policy, is surrounded by majestic Deodar (Cedar) and Cheed (Pine) trees, beautifully maintained flowerbeds, lush lawns, and a serene pond. The charm of its spacious, high-ceilinged rooms -- only six of which are available on tariff -- is complemented by private verandas that invite relaxation. And to top it all off, the delicious meals by master cook Prakash and his team make the stay even more special. Highly recommended!

I stayed in Deodar homestay from 25 th to 27 th March. Excellent stay, cordial atmosphere. Delicious cousine. Spacious and comfortable rooms smelling of the deodar . Neat, clean hygienic and aesthetically done. There is personal touch of the owner which adds to the warmth. Perched on top of the hill in the town. All the other facilities are nearby. Wonderful stay.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming homestay in Almora, located in the peaceful old cantonment area. The homestay is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Shekhar, who were wonderful hosts and even organized a lively New Year's soiree with singing, dancing, and a warm crowd of friends and family.||The house itself is an old colonial bungalow, beautifully maintained with well-kept plants around the property. My room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, adding to the overall peaceful atmosphere.||Managed by Prakashji and his attentive team, the service was exceptional. They made sure every need was met and prepared delicious meals that made my stay even more special.||I highly recommend this serene retreat for anyone visiting Almora!

The hosts, Shekhar Sir, and his wife - were welcoming, making me feel right at home. The food was delicious; every meal felt like a lovingly prepared treat. This homestay is easily the best place to stay in Almora - quiet with a great view, short walk to the bazaar, excellent service, extremely hospitable hosts and luxurious rooms. This is the THE place in Almora to stay.||Even the dogs are friendly and my kids loved playing with them.
