Kurmanchal Village by THE GHAUR

We stayed for 4 days and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The property is beautifully maintained and managed, offering stunning views that truly make you feel close to nature. The food was delicious, and a special thanks to Chef Deewan for serving such amazing meals throughout our stay. Also, a sweet mention for Doga, their adorable and friendly dog who made our time there even more special! The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we were comfortable at every step. Overall, a perfect getaway spot -- peaceful, beautiful, and heartwarming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene escape in the hills!

Loved it here! The chirping of the birds, the rustling of the wind while passing through leafy trees, the slumber of the night... I heard these beautiful sounds after a long time. Our incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic host and his staff, they just stole the cherry from the cake, While the view, the peace the tranquil environment was the icing over it. I'd love to visit again. And stay there doing just nothing. It's a totally zen like experience for me . Invoked my creativity and my creative juices are already flowing!. I just don't say thank you, I give blessings to our host for offering us such a warm and thoughtful stay. The pictures do not do justice to the incredible experience because I was so immersed into the place that I hardly clicked any instaworthy image!

Our family stayed here for four delightful nights. The accomodation was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the food served was wholesome and delicious, the setting was tranquil, and the caretaker team was caring, hospitable and responsive. |Our days were filled with leisure guided hikes, playing by streams, lazing on the lawn and sitting by the fire. |This place recharged the spirits of the young and the old in our group. Our guests from overseas were impressed by how well nurtured they felt. We will be going back!

Nestled in the quite village of Kurmanchal, this stay is just perfect to relax at. Divyendo is one of the best hosts I've stayed with till date and his team are incredible - making us the best local food we've had and ensuring every bit of our stay was comfortable. Kudos to all of them. Will surely return and I highly recommend this pitstop for anyone in the Kumaon district.

The homestay is a perfect getaway for nature lovers and for those who want to have peace & tranquility. The place is around 100 kms from Kathgodam and 16 kms from Almora. The rooms and toilets are simple and clean. You get the best service and food.Surroundings are lush green One can spot the usual himalayan birds - great tit, red billed & yellow billed blue magpie, hamalayan bulbul, streak laughing thrush, blue whistling thrush, woodpeckers etc.||||The owner Mr. Divyendu is a jovial person and has lot of knowledge about the area. The homestay team consisting of Mr. Deewan, Mr. Manish, Mr. Kundan and Mr. Dhan Singh (who owns a tourist vehicle and was our driver during the trip. His contract is 94117 64521 & 93892 32889) go out of their way to provide outstanding service and food. Jageshwar Dham, Vriddh Jageshwar, Kasar Devi temple, Sun temple, Kainchi Dham are a few places one should not miss. ||||Overall I would definitely recommend Kurmanchal Village by The Ghaur for its location, food and service.

Deewana , Pankaj & Kundan along with loveable Dogo & Charlie are the best care takers. We stayed 2 nights 5 Adults 9- 10 Oct. Care takers are humble, polite and helpful. Food is amazing and decent prices. Location is amazing. I highly recommend.

Our stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The people working on the property were extremely hospitable and pleasant. The promoter of the property paid a lot of personal attention to each and every guest, and saw to our every need. The food was also excellent, with an impressive variety throughout our meals. We travelled with our dog and she was also quite comfortable here. The owner has his own dog who's very friendly and adorable. The surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend this stay if you're looking to get away from the crowd and spend some time with nature.
