Pathetic experience. Electricity turned off by owner at 10 am by saying that 10 am is check out time. Gyser stop working and we have to check out without taking bath...Still he didn't turn on electricity after request and calling him. Very bad experience. Not recommended to anyone coming with family children's. In so much cool weather in December it is not possible for anyone to check out at 10 am. Very bad hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED. Stat date 24 december 2024. Room booked was 103

What I love about Shivalik River Retreat is cleanliness, rooms and washrooms are clean. The food is also served well and staffs are polite. Scenic View of Kosi river is breathtaking

The only place worth stopping at between Ranikhet and Almora. No request is too difficult for the management here. Excellent staff, excellent chefs and an absolutely wonderful owner. We'd rather go hungry than eat any place else!
