Hotel Temple On Ganges

Excellent hotel in a perfect location, right next to Assi Ghat. Extremely easy to reach all the sights in Varanasi, without relying on transport if preferred. Small size of hotel allows a very personalised service by very friendly and attentive management and staff. Great terrace overlooking the Ganga for sunrise/sunset relaxation. Restaurant is family style with great selection of well prepared Indian dishes. Overall great hotel for travellers interested in being immersed in an Indian atmosphere, rather than impersonal hotel chains. Thank you once again to all at Temple on the Gange for a great 9 nights stay. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a day and it's near assi ghat, you can view the ghat from the terrace. The room is small but clean and comfortable for 4 people. We booked the boat ride also from the hotel and it was really comfortable and beautiful. We saw the arti from ghat which is 2 mins walking from hotel. The service is really good which includes simple and hygienic food, clean room, tea coffee service to room. They allowed us to stay even after check out time and booked cab service to station. So all and all it's worth staying here.

It was a wonderful hotel experience. The rooms were exceptionally neat and clean, the staff were extremely helpful, and the food was delicious. The balcony was a great feature, offering a beautiful view. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. If you're visiting Assi Ghat, this is definitely one of the best places to stay.

Beautiful stay. Such a pretty room. I was here with two of my friends. We were in room 36.|The room could seat all three of us and was perfectly equipped. Kettle, mini fridge, perfectly functional AC, geyser, decent sized cupboards with hangers. A window with a green view plus a fully accessible roof top with 360 degree view. ||Luckily we went in April, so the roof was always vacant and we could have all to ourself. |We'd sit facing The Ganga river and watch the city in awe.

This is my second time staying at Hotel Temple on Ganges. I returned to this place mainly due to the hospitality extended to me and my family during my last visit 2 years back. Both my experiences at this hotel have been extremely comfortable and pleasant because of the well mannered and helpful staff. Its location in one of the prime areas of the city makes it very convenient for guests, for example to participate in the Ganga Aarti at Assi Ghat, which is a 2 minute walk away, and also indulge in local food and cultural shopping. The hotel has around a little more than 20 rooms and each room is different from the other. Some of the rooms offer beautiful views of the river Ganga and the glorious sunrises on its banks. Rooms have common balconies which run along the periphery of the building. Rooms are modestly sized, due to the fact that the hotel is located in the old city, clean and amenity-filled (such as WiFi, hot water, AC, and heater). There is a small temple within the hotel's compound at its backside. The food at the kitchen is tasty and vegetarian. The puri bhaaji and ginger chai are worth ordering every breakfast! The kitchen manager always listens to your specific requests and tries his best to accommodate. The reception staff are very courteous and offers services like arranging for taxis, etc. Although the hotel is located in a busy area of the city, it still maintains a very peaceful atmosphere. I shall look forward to my next trip to Kashi (my favorite city!) and will for sure stay at this hotel once again.

I had a wonderful time in Varanasi and the location of the hotel makes easier if you want to do tourism around. Food is very good, totally recommended to get a meal here. Staff are so nice! Really friendly and very helpful! They are very talkative and if you're curious they will share with you and make even better your experience. Definitely will come back to this place!

Shyam is an irreplaceable professional, he manages everything, helps you, talks to you about what needs to be done and organizes your car, your driver, your guide the day before for the next day... he entrusts us to reliable people and goes through with his work, checking that you have returned to the hotel... an outstanding service!!!! Shyam allowed me to see the absolute, I am really very lucky... he was a brother, a precious friend and I will keep this stay in Varanassi, him and these intense moments deep within me forever...|So thank you very much Shyam

Hotel Temple on Ganges is located at prime location and walking distance from Assi Ghat. Rooms are though small but comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast options are limited but manageable. Mr. Madan Mohan Pandey Ji is a very kind and a helpful human being. Overall a very comfortable and pleasant stay with need of improvement in few services like prompt housekeeping and a variety of options in breakfast.
