Hotel Rudra

This is a great and a very affordable place to stay at while on your trip to Varanasi. Very close near to the ghats the rooms here are spacious and clean. The washroom was good enough. Besides, being a solo female traveller I did not have to think of my security. The owner Lalu ji was extremely kind and generous and was ready to help in case of any emergency. Would definitely prefer staying here during my Next Varanasi trip.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was convenient, close to ganga aarti ghat, shops and restaurants. Overall, it was a good value for the price and I would consider staying here again.

**Late review:Better delay than never NOT a Family Friendly place to stay. Owner is unprofessional and uncourteous. Some background..I booked double room for 2 adults via Agoda for 2 days during Mahakumbh and the hotel manager confirmed our booking on Agoda chat. On booking date, I along with my father reached this place, hotel owner said, he has not been informed by agoda, when I told him that we had already done full payment during advance booking via agoda app and booking was also acknowledged and confirmed by someone at his end via agoda chat. He said, all process is managed by his channel partner. After 30 mins of delay and talking to someone,he allocated a room to us which had 3 beds. Next day late evening, he asked us to vacate room or share with someone. I said to owner, we have advance booking for 2 days then why we are asked to leave early. He said this is season top time and he is getting more price for this size of room. I said, we had booked the room on price which he listed over agoda app. We are also ready to move to another room type for which we have paid in advance. He asked us to vacate room asap and talk to agoda. He also said agoda is just a platform. As I am owner, I can ask anyone to leave anytime. I said, if you were not comfortable with the price, you should reject advance booking. You can also advise us this morning, that we have to find new room in another hotel. As It already 7 pm and now you are asking us to vacate,it will be difficult for us to find new room in any hotel even on premium price considering Mahakumbh rush. Owner keep on forcing us to vacate room or share with someone. I tried to book room over app but due to mahakumbh rush, no room was available in nearby hotels. My father who is senior citizen, was very shocked with this incident. My conversation with owner was also not went well. I thought to engage police but later dropped the idea. As this is new city for me and it's matter of just one night. I don't want to stretch any issue and ruin our mahakumbh-varanasi trip. After an hour, he introduced us to a person who is willing to share room with us. Now it's upto us to share room or vacate. After having discussion with this man and verifying his id. We decided to share room for a night. However I was pretty much unhappy with this arrangement but I had no options. There was no room available in nearby hotels. The Night was sleepless... If you love your family better refrain yourself to book room in this hotel. Otherwise your trip experience might ruin.

The hotel room was surprisingly spacious and impeccably clean, with modern decor and comfortable bedding and i like The hotel's location was perfect , within walking distance to many popular attractions and with easy access to public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and recommendations for local restaurants and sights.

Authentic experience right here, the service is excellent. Hot water, A/C and all hour assistance fx with washing clothes... everything you need to live like a king in Kashi. Thank you, Amman, for the best time of my life.

My overall rating (0.2/10) If you have time Not worth a review, but still. I don't want people to be a fool (or) get scammed by them. I had booked this place in agoda (booking app) By seeing the reviews and positive comments. I do agree, I had over paid but still. I wanted to be in kashi. From Chennai, I flew all the way to kashi in the month of feb (Maha Kumbh) I paid 10,498/- for 3 complete day's of stay. (Non A/C Standard room.) The actual charges for walk-inns were 1800/- per day. (I felt like an idiot, who paid so much.) I had reached the place at 11:30 p.m on sunday And they made me to leave by 2 days 10 hours of time. (Which is absolutely rubbish) (11:00 A.m is their closing time itseems.) I had informed that, I'll leave by 5:30 p.m ( they were like you have to pay, one full day rent for extending.) (Dash- off) I felt like they had thrown me out I left. My flight was at 9:10 p.m on the same day. * Rude staff behaviour. * Hot water is not available. * poor construction quality of the property. * Completely noisy * Not worth the money * No, front desk staffs available. Positive :- Location which is close to kashi temple.

The room was good and worth the price. The air conditioning worked well, and there was also a fan provided. The bathroom was decent too. Overall, it was a good experience.
