HHI Varanasi

The Crystal Hall was ideal for our conference, the food was very good, and the staff were attentive and courteous. The rooms were tidy and well-appointed. Special mention to Mr. Rakesh Chaddha, Team Leader, and his team - Rohit Pandey, Manoj Yadav, Joseph, and Rohit from the Travel Desk. They were extremely helpful and did an outstanding job. The hotel's attention to detail and commitment to excellence made our event truly unforgettable. Kudos to the entire team!"

My stay at the hotel was overall decent. The food was quite good, with a nice variety and flavor. The location is convenient--just about 15 minutes from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which makes it easy for those planning a temple visit. However, the rooms were not as clean as expected and felt a bit overpriced considering the overall quality and amenities. Cleanliness could definitely be improved to match the room rates. All things considered, it was still a reasonably good stay, mainly due to the food and location.

Let's begin by saying this: If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. HHI Varanasi is by far the worst hotel I've had the misfortune of staying in. The staff is rude beyond measure, unhelpful, and completely uncooperative. I was in town for an important interview and I had to leave at 6:30. Breakfast starts at 7:30 so I told them to keep some puris and sabji aside for me; I could have my breakfast and leave. I was told that the hotel kitchen does not operate before 7:30, does not have a fridge or a microwave to store my food, and could not parcel because that becomes "room/restaurant service". How in the hell is that a plausible explanation when I have paid for my breakfast at the hotel while booking? The guy at the front desk was so rude and hostile about it. When I came back at 9, I asked for a few more bottles of water and I was told that I could only get RO water. Are we being serious here? I pay you the full price even before I get to your hotel and you have the audacity to not even get me packaged drinking water? In the morning, I called for a bellboy to help with my bags and guess what? Not a single person showed up. I carried everything downstairs myself and when I asked the receptionist where the bellboy I had asked her to send was, she said "Oh? You asked for a bellboy?" It was literally her on the phone. Even during checkout she was so standoffish and rude and disrespectful. Slamming doors and drawers to get me my hotel bill. I do not expect a good morning or a thank you or any of those pleasantries, but I do expect hospitality staff to have a certain kindness in their behaviour; the kind I show them too. Anyway, terrible place. Will never stay here again even if it is the last hotel on earth. It is much better to stay at a rundown motel than HHI Varanasi.

Our stay here was a mixed one. The first room we were given on our 2 night stay was filthy. Stained mattresses with holes eaten away in them, stained sheets that felt as though they had not been changed from the previous guests yellow tired towels. The second night after complaining they moved us to a new room which was much improved and what we had originally expected but we had to wait until 4pm to occupy it. The food in the restaurant is excellent possibly the best we have had so far on our trip. The Windsor bar is also a very nice retreat. We were mislead re our check out time which was 12 noon only for hotel staff to rudely demand that we vacate our room at 11 and lied because another group was wanting to check in at 11:00. This was untrue as like all hotels check in time is 2pm. Not quite right. Be careful with the rooms that you have been given as the standard of what is acceptable is very very different

This stay was pretty good, the rooms were spacious and the bathroom was a good enough size. The staff were fairly friendly and Payal from the restaurant was very nice and attentive. She ensured our breakfast and other meals were in good order. The hotel was able to add on a 3rd bed for us as we had a last minute add on and they made no fuss to do this.

Kashi Vishwanath temple was about 3 kilometers away, we took a rikshaw. Building of hotel looked majestic, lobby was good & comfortable with few souvinir shops with price on display. Staff were polite, room was good but two twin beds for a couple. There was electric tea pot , tea bags, coffee etc but no water bottles. Buffet breakfast & dinner tasted good but had very few dishes to choose from. Overall we enjoyed our stay & liked the hotel.

Very ordinary experience at this hotel, food awful. Requested a coffee X 3, waited & waited & waited! Eventually arrived 15 mins later. Only requiring boiling water for a Nescafe sachet. That was only one thing. Dinner was cold, minimal food available in serving dishes & unappetising. Room was ok however having luggage bench underneath wardrobe was dangerous. I (intentionally) left a pair of shoes behind on the wardrobe shelf & realised that I had possibly left keys inside....the hotel denied any shoes being left at all! Room had not been left set up for Twin Share....i.e. no hand towel, face washer. Housekeeping unsure of request.|Biggest let down really though was the dining.
