DS Residency Varanasi !Prime location with Parking

When we arrived at the accommodation my partner was sick because of some food he had on the train. We're backpackers travelling Asia for 4 months so we carry heavy backpacks with us. We arrived early in the morning, after a 7hs train journey, and at first the owner was very helpful, giving us the room to have a rest before even checking our documents. But when I went to check in, few hours later, he told me he wasn't feeling like to let us stay because of my partner' health conditions (again, he had no fever or anything but a food poisoning). He asked us to see a doctor first and if they confirm my partner was fine he would have let us stay (we booked a 9 nights stay). He didn't want us to leave our backpacks there in the meanwhile which we found very unkind of him. Anyway, we "understood" his reasons and we directly went to the best hospital of Varanasi, they told us my partner was not contagious and they even gave us a document to prove that. So we reached back the hotel and he told us it was fine to head back to the accommodation. We booked a taxi, we were on the car already when he phoned us saying he couldn't let us stay because he had to go to the hospital and some more excuses. We had to pay a taxi ride for nothing and on top of that he refused to cancel the booking. So we were left outside with our backpacks, nowhere to go, food poisoned, crazy hot and we had to ask him many times to cancel the booking to have no answers but "i will not charge anything but now I'm busy with my relatives at the hospital". Which is anything but professional to say to someone who is buying a service from you and asks nothing but respect and honesty. It was very stressful, nothing like that ever happened to us in almost 2 months around India (south to north) and 3 years travelling around Asia (Japan, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia). Plus we've been working for restaurant and hotels in Europe for ten years and, as humans first and workers after, we would never feel like putting someone travelling in a new country in that situation. The most annoying part was him making up excuses, not caring for my partner who was not feeling well, not even trying to help us out a little. At the end of the day, we managed to find a better accommodation, for a cheaper price, where we felt like home and that was heartwarming after all of the stress. We wanted to share our story because no one should find themselves in such a situation. We don't recommend this stay at all.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Rooms are unhygienic and there are so many mosquitoes. Also most importantly host name Deepak Gupta is very rude and pathetic guy. This guy will talk to you in attitude and rudely. Also don't book any cars or trains from him. This guy will loot you. Don't book anything If you don't want your tour to be ruin.

Rooms are not so clean, image shown & actual room is quite different. too many mosquitos in the room so that you can smash them with hands. Approach road is so small for the hotel. In terms of cost it is too pricey for the Rooms. Better to find some other rooms than this.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. My experience was awful from start to finish. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and the check-in process was unnecessarily slow. The room was dirty, with stained sheets and a foul odor. The bathroom was worse--there was mold in the shower and barely any hot To top it off, the breakfast was overpriced and inedible. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere.

It's more like a homestay will give you a home like feeling owner and her daughter is gentle and helpful . Check in was very smooth and fast . Location is prime and they have their own parking . Only drawback is of they could have a resturant it would be great . Kashi Vishwanath Mandir is around 4 km one could take a auto from there and easily go & station is also not far . We stayed for 1 night and tarrif was reasonable would recommend everyone to stay .

Roughly 2km away from Kashi Vishwanath. Has fairly neat washrooms and beds. The main thing is they have OPEN CAR PARKING SPACE closeby

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Varanasi. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and equipped with a functional AC. The bathroom had a continuous supply of hot water, which was a great convenience. The overall service was excellent, with a special mention to Deepak, who was exceptionally considerate and helpful. He went above and beyond to arrange a late-night dinner for us and helped organize our travel plans for sightseeing. Highly recommend this hotel for its attentive staff and comfortable accommodations.
