Hotel Placid

Very neat and clean rooms. We had a pleasant stay. Service was good but I guess due to heavy crowd during Mahakumbh the staff was worked and stressed. Also there was only one person in restaurant who was serving the entire hall. Felt bad for him. He did an amazing job! Food was delicious. Will definitely stay here next time.

We hosted our engagement event at their banquet hall on 6th May, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The manager, Mr. Pradip, made several over-commitments during the booking process, but on the day of the event, everything changed. Shockingly, at around 4 PM, we were asked to vacate the hall while the function was still ongoing, causing major inconvenience to all our guests. Despite being charged for a DJ, not a single song was played. The service was equally poor ,starters ran out within the first hour. The overall experience was highly unprofessional, with inflated charges, poor service, and complete disregard for their commitments. Would not recommend.

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Money I visited this hotel on 28th March 2025, and my experience was extremely disappointing. No value for money - the services provided were far below expectations considering the price charged. Poor hospitality - there was a clear lack of courtesy and warmth from the Terrible food quality - food was served with stones, which is completely. guests were treated poorly, almost as if they were a burden. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. It was a complete letdown.

A nice hotel,with all amenities. But small small issues like leaking flush, unpolished shower head, shower not working, seepage in walls, rusted floor standing lamp etc over shadow their goodness. I understand that little spaced lifts still exist only after getting into their elevator..haha....wonder how they manage with such a small elevator for this hotel. Please correct it and you will get a 5 star rating.

But Mr Pradip asked to vacate the hall at mid-function as they have another event at 7pm which caused major inconvenience to all our guests . Overall Bad experiences .

Very Good Spacious Property, lighting inside the property is good. Food Was too excellent, It has a good parking space and the Room service were spot on on delivery the tea / coffee on demand. and i would definitely recommend this property,

I had a disappointing and unsettling experience during my stay at this hotel, which I feel compelled to share for the benefit of future guests. The most concerning aspect of my stay was an alarming security breach. Upon returning to my room after dinner, I was shocked to find a housekeeping staff member in my room without my permission. He appeared startled and perplexed, clearly not expecting me to return so soon. When I asked why he was in my room, he claimed he was there to change my wet bath towel -- a request I never made. In fact, the bathroom already had spare towels. The whole situation felt suspicious, and upon further questioning, I felt uncomfortable and unsafe. I immediately reported the incident to the front office manager, but despite waiting for 10-15 minutes, no one arrived to address the situation. I had to call again, and eventually, a supervisor came to apologize, explaining that the staff member didn't know he shouldn't enter a guest room without permission. This raised even more concerns, as the staff member had been employed there for five years, which makes it hard to believe he didn't know such a basic rule. It seemed more like a coordinated attempt to access rooms in guests' absence, possibly with a master key. When I demanded to speak with a manager, I learned there was no manager on duty that evening. The front desk staff was unresponsive, offering no apology or resolution. The next day, when I spoke with the manager, he seemed indifferent and showed no remorse for the incident. The lack of proper action and accountability from the hotel staff was deeply disappointing and made me feel unsafe throughout my stay.

I have been too many countries, even poor countries but so far this is one of the worse hotel I have ever been too. When they new about my arrival, yet room was not ready. I had to wait for an hour. Then the first room that i was given where toilet was not flusing and room was too dark and smelling. When I complaint, receptionist said, he will get it fix but won't change the room. I insisted about the changing the room then he said he will see what he can do. While I was going out, I requested to change my room before I come back and I specifically asked for different floor. I ever offered to pay more but give me good room. When I came back, he gave me last room on same floor. But guess what, toilet seat was broken and there was no warm or hot water for shower. There were no cloth napkins or paper napkins given, No mini bar, No instructions for locker, they come inside in your room to clean even when you have do not disturb on, food service was timed. They should know that people are coming from kumbh so they must be hungry but no food was available from 3-7pm and i was told this is 4-5 star hotel. THIS PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL
