Rishikul Kumbh Cottages

Considering the magnitude of Mahakumbh 2025, this property did a decent job in arranging accommodations & food.||Our tents had all basic amenities like warm bedding, charging outlets, toiletries, bottled water, electric kettle, luggage rack with hangers.||PROS:|-safe, quiet tents with attached bathrooms||-3 meals included everyday & the food is awesome! Catering & dining staff are some of the nicest people we met at Mahakumbh ||- every evening, they conducted Bhaagavat kathas inside the premises.||-Rishikul has a private ghat behind the tents, very quiet and not crowded at all. You can sit and enjoy the mornings & evenings. ||CONS:|- nights were freezing. No portable heaters, or heating pads. For senior citizens, this is horribly dangerous. My elderly mother caught a heavy cold from the freezing nights in a tent with no heat.||- housekeeping is non-existent. We have to walk to the reception everyday & request for cleaning & restock of towels, bottled water, tea bags, etc.||- Rishkul advertises " own boats to Sangam for snan". But it's actually a lie. Forget about a boat, they won't even bother to help with transportation of any type.||-Rishikul also advertised "Akhada Tours", but this was also a lie, totally non-existent.||-Rishikul is at the end of the entire Mela, the very last sector #25. So transportation can be very, very difficult to obtain since no autorickshaw or motorbike wants to go so far.

Divine Aura & Unforgettable Experience My first visit to Allahabad on a holy journey to Mahakumbh for Shivratri was made truly memorable by my stay at Rishikul Kumbh Cottages. The genuine warmth of the property owners, Mr. Himanshu Agrawal and his wife, immediately made me feel at home, while the delightful homemade food and cozy cottages created an atmosphere of serene charm. Dinesh at reception, with his exceptional courtesy, further enhanced the divine aura of the retreat--a true walk through peace and serenity. Although I had to pay for two nights while staying only one, the overall experience was undoubtedly worth it.

Absolutely Divine Experience! I recently had the privilege of staying at Rishikul Kumbh Cottages, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The moment I stepped into the cottage, I was enveloped in a warm and lively atmosphere that instantly lifted my spirits. The ambiance was serene and peaceful, with a positive aura that permeated every corner of the property. The cottages were tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable, making me feel right at home. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the courteous and helpful front office team. They were always available to assist me with a smile, making me feel valued and cared for. And then, there was the food - oh, the glorious food! The satwik cuisine was not only delicious but also nourishing, leaving me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. In short, Rishikul Kumbh Cottages is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a tranquil and uplifting experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon!

Rishikul kumbh cottages is a great place to stay and the staff is so helpful and dedicated. We had absolutely no problem with our stay of 15 members at these cottages. The food and the evening music program is outstanding. Best time we had. It is the worlds largest Religious gathering and in such a situation of high demand and stress they are doing the best possible job. Keep it up

We had an amazing stay. Everything from room to cleanliness and food was top notch. The cottages are at bank of river and the ghats are easily accessible. The arrangement and services were good, given the crowd , I say kudos to entire management to ensure smooth check-in and check-out services. The food was simple , fresh and authentic exactly what is needed when you are at MahaKumbh!

We managed to book a room for Kumbh Mela 2025 with just few weeks advance notice, thus I am thankful we found one and the overall experience was great!!||Said so, dealing with the camp has been a major struggle, most likely cause most tourists are Indian and the staff is not really used to an international crowd.|Ever since booking we tried to arrange a pick-up transfer from Varanasi. Despite tens of emails the answers received were always vague and we finally had to arrange the transfer elsewhere. Also, the subsequent exchanges with the person in charge of the daily activities (walking tours,..) were as inefficient and frustrating.||What pains me a bit is that the camp makes ample use of mentioning they are the top rated on TripAdvisor. This is factually correct but I wonder how it is possible.||The room/tent were ok-ish (not really a luxury tent, freezing cold at night and hot during the day, lots of dust as surrounded by sand..but not sure much more can be expected). The food was really good! Location, within the overall grounds of Kumbh Mela, was whatever (not great but not awful).

Had a great experience staying there on trip to Mahajumbh. We had booked 2 Vishnu cottages. Great spacious, clean cottages With all facilities listed in brochure available. We requested for additional comforter for night, and was provided. The food was ample and tasty for all meals. Checkin was smooth, so was checkout. went to Ghat just outside the tent area, at 10 in the night, very peaceful and quiet. and safe as well.they can arrange for taxi to sangam, airport, but the charges are pretty high.

We had the privilege of staying at Rishikul while we travelled to Prayagraj for Kumbha snan on 21st Feb. Basis the rates of the property and the reviews, our hopes were high. We reached the place at 10 AM on 21st and requested for early check in but the rooms were not readily available so we had to wait till 1 PM (the regular check in time). However, when the room was provided, the washroom was not properly cleaned, no toilet paper, dustbin and toilet seat were dirty and the room didn't give that fresh feeling. We got a bit upset. The good part was staff provided the service when we complaint. The best part of this place was the overall vibe and the food. Satwik and sumptuous food that was being served with lots of love. The place was filled with so much positivity and serenity. Bhagwat katha was going on during our stay. We also had Ganga snan at the river at walking disatnce from the cottage that saved us from all the chaos of main ghats. It was so much of relief as we travelled with our son. Overall a memorable and lovely experience. The price is worth the place.
