Hotel Madhuvan

Hidden gem in Mathura. Priced very reasonably. A family run business with excellent cuisine and courteous staff, this place is 30 min e rickshaw ride from vrindavan. And a 30 min ride from the train station. The roads are cobblestone outside and gives you a feeling of old time Mathura with cows roaming the streets. I am surprised that the rooms were better than Marriot, but prices were a fraction thereof. Would definitely stay here again even if i were to visit Agra. A 2 hour train from nizamuddin gets you Mathura, and it opens a whole new world of divinity. Come explore the magic.

While the hotel is conveniently located and the rooms are moderately spacious, my stay was unfortunately marred by poor room service and neglected maintenance. Basic issues such as a leaking bathroom flush, broken switchboards, a malfunctioning AC, and inadequate cleaning were ignored by the management, who attributed these problems to the owner's negligence. Additionally, broken doors led to a mosquito problem, and the non-functional lift made check-in and check-out extremely difficult. To top it off, toiletries were not provided.

Visit the Event multiple times, bad food and very bad service. Rooms are like lodge rooms.

This hotel is for people who can't or would prefer not to stay at 'normal' 'franchise' 'cheaply put together' 3 star hotels. |The food is home-cooked proper Indian food. They obviously have years of experience behind them to cook like that. |The mattress I slept on was the best mattress I have ever slept on in my entire life. |The ambience is artistic, there's loads of space, there is no need for this hotel to let you know how many square meters is available in the room you are staying in. |It has been designed by people who know what they are doing.|The restaurant's entrance looks like something out of a movie.|The space is better decorated than any and every Indian serial you have ever watched.|The owners can recommend a guide who is a genuine guide as well as shops you might be interested in visiting.|I think this hotel will be as good as any hotel you could go to in Mathura and more than likely way better, and definitely better than alot of hotels in major cities all over India.|It's up to you. To find out. For real.

A good, affordable place to stay.

Came mathura for business trip. And booked room there, worst ever experience I have staff was totally unprofessional and when checked in in room asked for water bottle he took around 30 mins to give water then cleanliness part was very poor. Washroom size is too small. And even taps were so dirty and stinked. Even exhaust fan was not available in washroom toiletries was not provided. Without exhaust how one can manage in winters with warm water. Taps and soap holder was to dirty also the cloth hangers were not available in washroom. Will not recommend anyone to visit this hotel. When complained about this to service staff he has says to write t down a complaint on paper and give it to reception then owner will check and take appropriate action but I think that will not work bcz staff will never share that complaint with owner that's why I am writing here so that issue can be raised with owner

Hotel room is good but staff attitude specially person (Jaswant) sitting at reception is very bad. He does not have manner, etiquette to talk and how to behave with customers. He is unnecessary entering in arguments and damaging the image of such good hotel . He is young and I guess he needs to be trained Hotel is conveniently located and rooms are fine. Room service is pathetic but foods are very good
