Hotel Chanda

Room service is not good. Room are dirty, unhygenic. Water taps not working. Wash basin and other fittings are dirty.room given on 3rd floor and lift is out of order.waste of money staying here. Bedsheets are dirty. Not cleaning properly....

The hotel is really a big black mark on the name of "Hotel" .Service is too poor ,they don`t even provide what they promise ,Maintenance is horrible !! The rooms and the halls are dirty and stinky.The geysers don`t work .The wood paint is worn out. Lift is also out of order from several months.||I booked a party with my family members .The menu items were changed automatically by the hotel staff .the crockery and the serving bowls chairs tables etc are all old and broken ,had lost their shine. Even booking a tent house wala provides better service .The staff is really unprofessional !!

On the evening of 2019-12-01 something unpleasant and quite strange happened to me.||I arrived at the CHANDA hotel in Jhansi that day, around 9 am and I've been welcomed at the reception.||The man at the desk told me that the booking was ok but that I whould to check-in at 12, three hour later.||Instead of waiting 3 hours nearby, I asked them if would be possible to leave my luggage behind the desk of the reception, having sightseeing and back later.||They told me, there are no problems. But When I returned to the CHANDA hotel, around 6:00 pm, they told me that the room was no longer available.||while they were telling me that, I checked on the booking.com website if it was true but to my surprise I found out that he still had 3 free rooms||similar to the one I had booked, at the same price.||They reply that it wasn't true and they called me a booking.com operator with their mobile phone. ||The man at the phone apologized for the unexpected and found another accommodation but at three times the price of my reservation..||The situation was coming little strange to me so, I thanked him but I said that I would be organized by myself in finding another room.||I took the luggage from the back of the reception desk, called a taxi and I left.||The taxi driver takes me first to the SAMRAT hotel where, just arrived, they tell me they can't host me.||Through booking.com I found availability at the VIDHATA hotel. Once arrived, the boy at the desk show me a room, ||I said it was fine to me but when he called the boss to check the availability , he told me sorry, already booked. ||After VIDHATA hotel, taxi driver asked at a small pension nearby, not registered on booking.com,||but the answer was also the same, not possible to host me.||Desperate I changed taxi and I moved to Occha, a close town, where I had a second reservation at the Shri Mahant Guest House. ||In the uncertainty of my travel schedule, I had booked a room in two hotels, for the same night. Arrived at the Shri Mahant Guest House I was confirmed availability and I finally slept.||This what happend to me.||If I can add something, when I arrived at the hotel Chanda 1th time and they asked me to wait untill 12am , I stayed sit for a while in the main hall thinking what to do and I was really devoured by mosquitos. I never met so many at the other hotels I've been during all vacation. Also the toilet have in the main hall is something uncredible. The smell of naftaline balls could not cover the smell of piss.

I travelled all around India and got used to 'hot running water' usually meaning 'hot water bucket available' and have to stay this hotel still blew me away with how disgusting and horrendous it was. I booked the 'executive a/c suite', pretty pricey but as I was coming in late I just wanted to have something waiting for me. I...words, I will try to describe but this place first of all appeared very sketchy, the hotel clerk insisting he keep my passport till I checked out (I refused and finally 10 minutes later he consented to making a copy of it in the morning and letting me keep it), then showed me to the 'executive suite'....which was so smoke-filled the walls were literally stained black and I started chocking immediatly (and I am NOT asmatic). So, next room....in which the a/c didnt work, and the toilet kept running, and I got to discover one of the many 'friends' this hotel has, cockroaches..and when I pointed it out the clerk literally picked up the roach by its hind legs and through him out into the main hallway! Third room had no sitting toilet and more friends, so I finally agreed to the second one. While taking a hot water bucket bath (which the clerk seemed really annoyed to give me) I turned on the cold water faucet...whihc refused to turn off again (I turned it back but the water kept running). The clerk response? "Dont worry". Fine. Then as I'm going to bed, 1am, I hear a knock on my door...the clerk's friend stating his room doesnt have any water, so can he take a shower in mine?! I was a single female traveller....needless to say I said no. Oh, and the 'complimentary water bottle' was opened and they refused to switch it out. Needless to say I do not recommend this place...hell, I recommend trying anything but this place, I almost wished I'd crashed at the train station!

I was staying Hotel chanda so many times in last 20 years, while on my Business trip. The hotal was good and maintained in its early period; But now a days the Hotel is in very weak situation AC;s was not working properly. Other appliance were also not working properly. The lift is out of order from a long time.

We stayed here from 26th Oct'12 to 27th Oct'12. I had done a booking on net as no other hotel was available through internet and i did not find the names of any other hotels. The hotel is old, undergoing rennovation and not suitable for stay at all. Actually should not give rooms to people when the hotel management is not capable of attending to the customers. The lift, geyser, A/C was non - functional. We had to climb two stairs to reach the given rooms on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was tasteless and the whole atmosphere seemed gloomy and dusty. Only the location is good - near to the Jhansi Fort.

A very Unhygienic place Recipient manager behaviour was very rude He is not supported and helpful for anything Don't book ur room here Because this place is not for a good stay.. If u r spoil ur day then u can booking here.. Hot water is not available in washroom for winter stay..

It's worst experience, staff is very rude, I booked a room with prepaid from paytm but receptionist denied for check in and says for cancelling the booking online and pay directly cash in hand ( which is much more ammount compared with online booking) and then I make call to call centre of paytm who didn't resolve my problem then I make call to oyo customer care after waiting of 1.5 hour I get check in on 3rd floor ,lift was not working, hotel not fullfill the amenities like tv not working, no wifi, flush not working , water supply in early morning stop , over all worst staff, worst service, toally waste of money.
