Village Homestay

Very cozy hotel on the outskirts of Agra. Don't expect a 5 star luxury hotel, but it is a very nice place according to the price. Rooms are decent, not the cleanest but far from the worst I've seen in India. There is no honking, although there are many dogs barking and cows mooing. I don't appreciate being asked to cancel my stay on booking.com so they can save commision.

Our stay was good at Village Homestay. The place is aptly named - it's right in the middle of farms and one would get an authentic feeling of living in a village at this homestay. The food is great and they use a lot of produce from their own farms. Their service is just as good. Rooms can be improved though. Also, it is pet friendly in the real sense, our kid had a very good time running around in the property.

This is one of the best place to stay with family as it will give you pure village vibes, and its just 20 mins drive from tajmahal. the road is little narrow as its inside the village. Not advisable to drive during rainy season because of the road conditions especially in nighttime. Loved the hospitality and food options, we have enjoyed the stay.

This was nice place to stay in Agra. The communication with the host was easy and he helped us arrange the tuk tuk for the reasonable price. We really enjoyed the food made by our hosts. The room was nice but it could be cleaner.

We have been staying (me and my partner) 3 nights at Village Homestay, we couldn't have found a better place to stay, the quietness, all the animals wild and domestic that are inside this beautiful property and the family who owns the place are making it the best place to chill in Agra. It is only 10-15 minutes driving from the Taj Mahal and close to the chaotic city. The food that Lokendra and his wife are cooking it is really delicious and nourishing! I really recommend this place especially if you like to be out from the mess and to be in contact with villagers and nature, simple life. The room where nice, the fairy light were making it magical, and the bed is comfortable. An amazing things we saw was the birth of 6 puppies, such a beautiful moment.

We've liked to stay there, because we craved for a true Indian village experience. But we've got cheated at the end. The owner made us cancel the booking reservation and promised us a discount. At the end he made us pay even more for the stay and added up some services even though he owed us money - because we paid the whole amount on the first day and didn't get the change. That really broke our whole experience, which was rather positive. If you want to stay in a place with true countryside life and amazing fresh buffalo-milk coffee - that's your place. But better have an even amount of money prepared for everything and don't cancel the reservation as you will already be there.

This place is specially designed to give you feel the village life. Rooms are cost effective and located in a remote area.

Booked via Agoda and received confirmation. Upon arrival they mentioned that it's already booked for a group of 25 and denied my reservation. Please double check if they're legit and there are no cabs or Uber that works.
