SS Food Home Delivery- Best Hotel in Banda

If you are on a work trip to Banda, this hotel by the big Roadways stand may have a noisy neighbour in the shape of plying buses, but the room itself is comfy, clean with decent room service. One can also walk out and try some local foods, if one gets tired of the hotel fare. Their portions are not single friendly, used to as they are to family bookings, but the staff is decent.

We booked this hotel through Booking.com. Have received confirmation.||However, when we arrived at the hotel, they told us, through our driver, who acted as an interpreter, that our booking was canceled.|| To our surprise, none of the hotel staff understood a single word of English. First, we were offered to go and look for another hotel. After half an hour of negotiations between our driver and the hotel staff, the rooms were provided to us.||What was our surprise when we realized that we were the only guests in the "hotel". || Externally, the building does not look like a 2-star hotel. All around the garbage. The rooms are not cozy. In one of the rooms, a torn curtain, lay in a wardrobe. Upholstered furniture all in dirty spots. It's scary to sit down. Sheets on beds with badly washed spots. Electronic room keys did not work. If you go out, you can get back into the room only with the attendant on duty with a universal key. No soundproofing. At night, I had a feeling that I was sleeping on a busy road with open windows.|| The worst food than in the restaurant of this "hotel" I have not tried anywhere in India. I never thought that you can ruin ordinary tea, especially in India. However, I was wrong.|| In general, in my experience, the worst hotel in which I had to live in India.

The Hotel is located a bit far from the main highway and offers small rooms with limited services. Many restaurants are located in the vicinity which could be asked to provide room service. It is mostly good for those people who wish to stay here for a day or two.

Overpriced....taste of food is good thats why 4 star...but prices are high..
