The Vishwanath Palace

We briefly stayed at this lousy hotel based on very good reviews but totally disappointed. Nobody should ever venture staying here. The rooms are very bad in sgaoe with lot of moisture and foul and pungent pesticide smell. Dirty bathrooms and facilities

When we went for check in, the receptionist said there is no booking in our names. After a few phone calls with our agent in Kochi, the matter was settled after about 45 minutes. We were so tired after a long journey throughout the night from Lucknow to prayagraj kumbh mela and to naimisharanya, where the hotel is located. There was no access to TV also even though the same is there in the room. The tap in the bathroom was not working, for which they asked to take water in mug from the wash basin and take bath. The shower was leaking from all sides and was strapped with a plastic kit. The only positive was that the restaurant manager and staff were too good and the food was also tasty.

Absolutely unreliable and unprofessional. A Malhotra was spoken to on 10 Feb for a room which he confirmed and issued quote no 203 and upon sighting which called and said as I was travelling in the mountains of Nepal would it be fine to pay on arrival. He confirms that was possible. After a month upon arrival in Delhi before boarding the flight to Lucknow at 8pm called him to reconfirm booking and he does not answer, called the hotels phone only to be told they are sold out and have no room or info of my conversation and request with Malhotra despite getting an invoice. Can you imagine my plight getting to Nainisharanyam at 1130 pm after 2 hours on road and to be told no booking available. Absolutely incorrigible and unprofessional customer service. Added to it we do not speak Hindi and it would have been like grooping in the dark in a foreign land. Travelers take care if you book this property as my feeling is they are unreliable. All the best

Worst service for dining customer. We had been as a group for oure veg food. Service is a sword that even it cannot be compared to an road side food serving business. Manager/admin at floor was very rude. He assumes that customer will not understand their language. He spoken ordered the waiter infront of us that these south indian won't wat more phulka and sweet and hence not to arrange for serving. In this case he should have informed us it will be limited meal. More over just for asking hot drinking water hot water for 3 of our group members, he was stearing and utterly his face expression was to hit us by his reaction. I never wanted to spend this kuch of time writing a long review but pls keep some good people to take care as you have high rating and reputation which I doubt that your present team is good at managing this for long time. Positive: Most of the Food quality was good. Dal and gravy was too spicy for all members we took food here.

Room upkeep is very poor. No cleaning is done. I simply vommitted their morning coffee

Rooms are good. Service is pathetic. Reception and Room boys are very arrogant. No hot water taps in rooms only shower. No hot water in 2nd floor, got water in buckets with holes. Hand wash and toilets in dining hall are very dirty and not cleaned at regular intervals. Better to avoid and stay at a Dharmashala which provide similar amenities. No value for money. Very poor maintenance.
