We always love staying in Hosteller properties and this was no exception. The service was great and they helped us to plan our time in the city. The manager Mohan was really wonderful, the property is lucky to have him. The location was perfect with easy access to the Taj and other sites and only a short ride from the train station. We stayed in a four bed dorm and the facilities were clean and tidy and AC worked well.

This hostel is a fantastic choice for travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights is the beautiful rooftop, which offers a stunning view of the Taj Mahal--a perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the Taj Mahal, making it easy to visit at any time. We stayed in a private room, which was compact but well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Overall, a great experience--we would definitely stay here again!

The location is very good--the Taj Mahal was just a short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was with the room. My friend and I stayed in the female dorm, which had no ventilation or natural light, and it had a bad smell. When we informed the staff, they responded immediately and worked to resolve the issue. The smell reduced but didn't go away completely.

I spent two nights in the female dorm and unfortunately, I have to say that there are several points of criticism. Point 1: When I checked in, the room had only been cleaned very sporadically. The trash bins had not been emptied, there was no toilet paper, and the bathroom did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned recently. Point 2: The light at my bed unfortunately did not work. That was still manageable since I could use the main light instead. Point 3: What really bothered me was the behavior of the guests on my last night. There was a wedding party staying at the property, and they were extremely loud into the early morning hours with drums and other noise. No consideration was given to the other guests. Children were running through the hallways screaming until 2 a.m., and there was absolutely no effort to maintain a quiet environment. Additionally, it was very uncomfortable that unknown men entered the female dorm, so we had to take matters into our own hands and construct a makeshift lock from the inside to prevent the door from being opened from the outside. This was a truly unpleasant and unsettling situation. In general, I noticed that in Hosteller accommodations, female dorms have no way to be locked from the inside, which I consider a significant security risk. I am not used to this from other hostels. Furthermore, I had arranged with the hotel manager for a tuk-tuk to be ready at 5 a.m. He assured me that someone would definitely be there. I relied on that, but at 5 a.m., no one showed up, and I had to walk to the main road with my luggage by myself. If something is promised, it should be followed through. I found that very disappointing. Now to the positives: The only positive aspect worth mentioning is the location close to the Taj Mahal, but unfortunately, that's about it. The ventilation in the room was very poor, and the atmosphere was humid. One of the walls was completely damp -- likely a sign that the building structure is already compromised.

I had a fantastic stay at The Hosteller Agra! The property is well-maintained, clean, and has a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, and the common areas were great for meeting fellow travelers. The rooftop area with a view of the Taj Mahal was a highlight! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with travel tips and local recommendations. The location is perfect--close to major attractions yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend this place to backpackers and solo travelers looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay in Agra. Will definitely visit again!

Great Location & Friendly Staff, But Housekeeping Needs Improvement - I stayed at The Hosteller Agra for two nights, and overall, it was a good experience with some concerns. The location is fantastic--you can see the Taj Mahal from the top floor, which is a breathtaking view. The hostel has plenty of common areas to relax, the rooms are spacious, and the large storage lockers are a big plus. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and even the food is decent. However, I was quite disappointed with the housekeeping standards. During my stay, I noticed that after a guest checked out, the housekeeping staff did not change the bedsheets or pillow covers. Instead, they simply folded the blanket, wiped off the dust from the sheets and pillow cover with their hands, and made it appear as if they had been changed. When new guests arrived, they were unknowingly sleeping on the same used bedsheets. I'm not sure if the sheets are changed weekly or even fortnightly, but this lack of hygiene is concerning. Unfortunately, I developed rashes and itching around my neck and hands, which I suspect was due to unclean bedding. I strongly urge the management to prioritize cleanliness and hygiene rather than cost-cutting in housekeeping. Changing bedsheets and pillow covers after every checkout should be a basic standard in hospitality. I truly hope the hostel takes this feedback seriously, as it has great potential to be an even better place to stay.

I stayed at The Hosteller Agra for a night and had a great experience. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The service was friendly and helpful throughout. The highlight for me was the rooftop cafe, it has a great vibe to relax and unwind, and the view of the Taj Mahal from there was absolutely mesmerizing. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the monument. Highly recommended for a short, scenic stay in Agra.

Good place to stay for visiting the Taj for 1-2 nights as the attraction is a short walk away. Rooms were reasonably clean and well-fitted, although perhaps not up to normal Hosteller standards, and the bathroom had a bit of a ventilation issue. Our AC wasn't working which was annoying but the manager who speaks very good English offered us a private room instead which had great AC. The rooftop bar has views of the Taj and is a great place to chill with a beer. Food was decent, although check they calculate your bill correctly... The games room looks good in photos but is a dingy underground dungeon that smells of damp I didn't see anyone using...
