ITC Mughal is located in a very nice area, and it's quite convenient to reach. As soon as you arrive, you'll find the architecture truly worthy of its name. I loved the ambience and the sense of grandeur, which beautifully complements the old-school royalty of Agra. I visited for a weekend getaway with my family, and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5-star rating is that the main course wasn't as impressive as the starters. However, that's not going to stop me from going again -- in fact, we had already planned our next visit before we left. ITC Mughal, you've earned a permanent visitor today!
We are currently staying in this hotel as part of our tour and chose it because of its locality close to the Taj Mahal. This is our second night of three. On arrival, security, check in and first impressions were excellent. Breakfast and the evening buffet have a good selection of food and good service. The second floor room is where is goes awray. The TV wasn't working (maybe down to intermittent lapses in internet signal as we have found with the WiFi). Someone came to sort it but keeps going off. We found that the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working so reported it and was told we needed to be in the room. That proved difficult so reception agreed to fix it while we were out. Still not working. Maintenance man arrived to a bathroom resembling a steam room, held a paper tissue to the fan which clung very slightly to the fan and said it was working fine (even though we couldn't see each other). Reception offered to show us another toom, in that one (i took my own tissue)the tissue didn't even flicker. The explanation offered was that the fan operated used the temperature in the whole room, not just the bathroom - new one on me, I chose not to move. It's a piddling thing but irritatingly so. |Gym room is under renovation, machines look OK but a strong smell of damp and the entrance area looked like one of the mughal sites we came to explore. It says steam and sauna rooms are included but the steam room by the pool wasn't working and the only other ones (separate male and female) were in what looked like to me to be a paid for massage/spa. Anyway, we have our own personal steam room but it's a good walk from the pool. This is not a five star hotel, I would grade it as a 3. Just don't let first impressions of the lobby raise your expectations. Oh, FYI it advertises executive club lounge facilities, but its just drinks in the ground floor bar with a couple of trays of snacks - naughty Marriott telling fibs.
I gave a 5/5 rating for this hotel principally for the service we received in the Akbar Mahal restaurant. The food was excellent and one person stood out in particular. His name was Anhad and he advised on food choices, prepared individual samples and generally ensured that our food experience was the best it could be. It's a very good hotel and this was the standout element.
We had an extravagant experience during our short staycation here!|Beautiful property. Very friendly staff. |We were greeted at the front desk by Miss Ananna. She was the sweetest during our entire stay. Herself, with Mr. Arvind and the team arranged for a beautiful setup for our special occasion, making it extremely memorable!|The service, food, suite, gym, spa services were top notch.
The hotel property is stunning and clean. Breakfast service is great, we had something different everyday. Vikrant was our server and he treated us really kindly and attentively.||The Mughal suite was a very pleasant stay and staff were always at our disposal, ready with recommendations. We would stay here again.
I really enjoyed my Stay here. Staff was very polite and supportive. Specially Vikrant and Pui took special care of us during the breakfast. Overall wonderful experience. Good Food, Good Ambiance. Good staff. Strongly recommended to stay here during Agra Trip
I travel a lot, and this was easily the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. Service was impressive and impeccable, they listened to our needs and responded as I would expect. Not pushy, just helpful. Rooms were very comfortable, bed was perfect, spa was beautiful and wonderful. Pool is great and quiet as well. Those hallways of marble and the entry hall though are truely something else. I only wish we had more time to stay there!
