Imperial Hotel

This hotel is packed with old-school charm. Room was comfortable and beautifully decorated and the grounds of the hotel are lovely. The staff were all very hardworking and welcoming, despite us showing up late at night after a delayed flight. Breakfast was good. Restaurant fare is on the pricier side compared to outside food (as to be expected with hotels) but tasty and generous, we also really enjoyed their special Xmas Eve dinner. Location is a bit further out from the taj area but it was very easy to get around using Uber auto (rickshaws) and the hotel's garden area + pool area made it feel like a nice quiet oasis from busy Agra, so we slept well. They were doing some work on the rooftop during the time we were there so we weren't able to use the terrace - a shame as the views seemed great.

Ok so let me start from the beginning. We paid the whole amount at the reception which is expected and then checked in our room and noticed that AC is not working so we informed the staff. After 15 minutes someone came to check and tried to operate the AC and tried few things then said maybe remote is not working then again after 10-15 minutes another guy came and try start the AC after which only 1 Ac worked that too with minimal effect and the other split AC was still not working. Then we informed the manager to get it checked. The worst part is The Manager was very casual and said it's a minor glitch will get fixed, we were like seriously it's been over 30 minutes since we checked in and your AC issue hasn't fixed yet. He again said very casual we are checking and then we said we don't want to stay here anymore and are checking out right now and want the refund on which his response was very casual. They dont know how to treat to their guests Worst experience for so called heritage property. Note: The 1 start is given as I want to post a review otherwise they do not deserve this 1 start as well.

Hotel and services are so good the only problem is it's location.

This place is simply amazing. 110 years of history, and everything is as authentic as it can be. It really feels like going back to the last century, the ambience is wonderful, the staff is really attentive and helpful, the building is extremely well looked. The rooms are beautiful and original in their decoration. It really feels like time stopped here and there's certainly something magic in this place. We stayed two nights and we're glad we extended our stay, as this is not just a hotel to sleep and go, it's an experience in itself that would need at least two nights and some time in the garden and in the premises to be fully appreciated

Was on a one day visit to Agra just to see The Taj Mahal and wanted to book a not so pricey, no frills room but while I was browsing through the option available on Google, came across this wonderful property right in the middle of the City. Its located right oppsite the DM's bungalow along the bylanes of Jama Masjid. It has its own separate parking and quite spacious too. The parking is sufficient for almost 20 cars. We were greeted by a group of very hospitable and smiling staff. As promised, we were welcomed with a glass of Welcome drinks on arrival, a small tikka on our foreheads to make it auspicious and a garland of Marigolds to ward off all evil. We were then escorted to our designated room nicknamed 'Meera Bai', which was booked under the title of 'Chamber of Prince' category. All the rooms are very spacious with a king size four poster beds, a 40 inch LED TV, a well stacked mini bar on chargeable basis, a spacious and clean washroom with a bath tub and exotic antique furniture in the room. The room backdoor opened up to their private swimming pool which is open till 7 pm in the evening. The pool encloses a gondola in the middle where ethnic musicians play live music in the evening. They have a complimentary Puppet show everyday evening and also henna making service for interested ladies and gents. They have a single restaurant which serves all kinds of cuisines alongwith a full fledged bar. For the price offered, it was the best deal I have ever had.

The location and rooms are great. The hotel itself is a little worn but we were here for one night so that wasn't a problem.We are a family of 5 so had a double and a triple room, both were very nice if a little worn. My wife and I watched a puppet show in the evening and the entertainers (a young boy and a teenager) were lovely. They try very hard here and I think it's good value for money.

Great hotel for great journey with indispensable memories. In this hotel you can fill as dreams of forgotten past comes true in service, attitude and atmosphere. Everything from decorum and helpful personnel to evening entertainments for guests make you fill yourselves as duchess or princess travelling with leisure and in appropriate respect.
