Very conveniently located on the Mall riad. Though crowded road but traffic flows smoothly as roads are wide. The hotel has adequate parking and the view around is amazing. Rooms are well provided and all tourist attractions are almost walking distance except Fatehpur Sikri.

Do not stay here!!! ||||Arranged a budget room, as we have done in the rest of India, and everywhere else we've been really happy with the rooms. This room looked ok on first impression. We checked in and they were the only hotel so far to take our money before we took the room, we thought it a bit strange. ||||Once we got to the room we realised why - the bed sheets had blood on them and didn't look to have been changed for several days. The bathroom was FILTHY. The sink had dead insects in it and dirt that must have gathered over weeks or months. The shower and toilet also were filthy all over and the tiles can't have been cleaned for months either. We asked someone to clean the sink and he said it didn't work so no need! The toilet didn't work either, even though they assured us a good bathroom.||||We thought we might get ill if we stayed so we packed up and left. We asked for our money back and they refused. Evenutally they gave back 185 of the 550 rupees we'd paid - an insult but better than nothing.||||I can't advise strongly enough against this property.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff (especially Bhola) are really helpful. The rooms are dirty and the sheet on one of the beds was stained but smelt as though recently washed. Mosquitos were a problem and coils were provided in the evening. The reason for picking this hotel is the location, the grounds are full of wildlife from parrots to squirrels, the car horns seem distant and you can get transport easily at the main entrance. The shower always had hot water and for R500 in Agra this is not a bad choice unless you want to spend time in the room, if it's just for sleeping and you like to have breakfast watching the wildlife then try this hotel.

This place was recommended to us by our rickshaw driver... that was the first and last time I let a rickshaw driver bring us to one of his ideal hotels. The photos you see on the hotel description are either fake, stolen from another website or from 100 years ago given how bad the rooms are! The price is low (around 500 Rps) but the hotel is not worth it at all... if it was not for the very late time, long travelling, exhaustion and distance to any other hotel, we would have slept somewhere else!||||Rooms & bed: DIRTY! I mean, really dirty. I've backpacked across India 3 times, Thailand, Greece, and another dozen of countries... this is the first time I really complain about dirt and dust. We visited 4 rooms and they were all as dirty (beds are gross, dirty, stained and dusty) and unhealthy (electrical wires everywhere with incomplete and scary connections). ||||Shower: the receptionist promised us that we would have hot water for the shower in the morning... It required us to complain 4 times (yes, four times) to get some medium warm water. The conditions of the shower room were as bad as the bedrooms, dirty, filthy and unhealthy!||||Reception: the receptionist was not friendly at all... took the money and pushed us in our rooms... and still tried to make us eat in the restaurant. Having seen the overall conditions of the hotel, we just avoided eating... as the saying goes, who sleeps eats...||||Photos: again, the photos associated with the hotel are NOT reflecting the overall conditions of the hotel. I wish I took some pictures to show the reader how bad it was!

This is a very old hotel. "Once upon a time, this hotel had a great name and elegance - now all lost" - said my friend who had booked it for us. Its a regular old hotel, 1 star. Has like limited rooms but really cheap. Doors are rickety and toilets broken. They have huge water coolers popping through the windows. Staff are really nice but yes though young they seem to act a bit old and uninterested.

My friend & I stayed here for one night in December whilst backpacking around Rajasthan. It was slightly further away from the Taj Mahal than most places, but MUCH cheaper accommodation than staying in the Taj Ganj. It would only take us about 15/20 minutest to walk to the nearest gate of the Taj, and rickshaws were available cheap if we chose not to walk. ||There is a beautiful garden with a family of peacocks that roam freely and Bholla (who is pretty much in charge of everything, but does not own the place) was such a lovely host. His food that he cooked & served for us on the terrace was some of the nicest we ate whilst in India. He was extremely friendly and hard-working, and as it was a cold time of year he brought us extra blankets in the evening. ||I would however warn that if you are looking for luxury, this place is not for you. For my friend & I it was perfect - within walking distance to the Taj Mahal and cheaper than other places, but that is because we chose one of the smallest rooms. Our room did not resemble the pictures posted here but I would not have expected that for the price. However, if you are backpacking and only staying a night or two in Agra to see the Taj Mahal, I would highly recommend this guesthouse.

We arrived in Agra not knowing where to stay and our rickshaw driver took us here. Seemed like a good location and we saw a (pretty grubby) room with air con which looked ok, and settled on 800rs a night for three people (they wouldn't go any lower) They wanted all our money up front for the three nights, which was a first for us. And then once we'd got settled in we found out that the toilet didn't flush, the shower didn't work, the tv in the room didn't work, the air con was broken, and they never brought us the extra bed they promised us so we all had to share the double. Very unfriendly staff (apart from Bhola, who pretty much seems to do all the work) who refused to give us any money back when we checked out after two nights, even with all our complaints about the rubbish room. Also got chatting to the only other people who were staying there, who were paying loads less than us for the same room. They need to figure out a price when it's not peak season and not just rip people off. Don't stay here, there's loads of other options in Agra.

the property is so highly rated but in reality its pathetic. There is no room service, the beds are in bad shape. The only good thing is the garden that's it.the rooms are not even clean. would not recommend it to anyone.
