We had a family wedding at Hotel Clarks Shiraz and it was a fantastic experience. The food and hospitality were the two standout highlights. Every meal, from the welcome lunch to the wedding dinner, was outstanding. There was a great mix of Indian and international dishes, all cooked to perfection.||The hospitality matched the quality of the food. The staff were professional and always around when needed, polite, and quick to help. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, which made the stay even better.||The entire event went off smoothly, and a big part of that was thanks to the hotel team and their attention to detail.

I had an excellent stay at Clarks Shiraz and would highly recommend it. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the housekeeping staff kept everything spotless throughout my visit.||The breakfast each morning was fresh, tasty, and with plenty of variety to choose from. I also had the chance to try the food at the hotel restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious, clearly made with quality ingredients and a lot of care.||The staff was also very nice. Every person I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making sure the guests had a great experience.
Big choice of very tasteful food in a nice restaurant. Very warm welcome and very good service from Manoj and Arbaz. Wonderful lobby and nice rooms. Quiet place not far from Taj Mahal and Red Fort. I recommend it. It was good experience in this hotel
The hotel is set in beautiful, expansive grounds with an impressive and elegant building. The common areas are well-designed and stylish, fitting for a five-star establishment. Our room was comfortable and nicely appointed, but it could benefit from an upgrade to include power outlets on both sides of the bed, rather than just one. Unfortunately, our experience at the Checkers buffet significantly impacted our stay. The ambiance was lacking, with outdated decor and a poorly thought-out layout. The food was merely adequate and did not meet the quality expected from a five-star hotel, especially compared to similar establishments I have visited. Additionally, hygiene concerns were apparent as flies were spotted settling on food, which was quite off-putting. The staff appeared overstretched and disengaged, with tables often missing basic items like crockery and cutlery. The overall experience at the buffet was disappointing and certainly not up to the standards expected at a luxury hotel. While the setting and design of the hotel are commendable, improvements to dining quality, hygiene, and staff attentiveness are necessary to justify its five-star rating.
Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life. I stayed at Hotel Clarks Shiraz in Agra in October 2024, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. The stay was filled with issues: our room initially had no electricity, and my grandmother couldn't even open the door with her key card. The staff were extremely rude--when my mother asked for directions to our room, an employee snatched the key card from her hand and told her she didn't belong in the main building. There was loud noise from the shower and the elevator, which was right outside our room. The interior felt very outdated (though that's subjective). At dinner, they tried to split us across three tables, even though we were one family. On the second day, towels and water bottles were missing from our room. To make things worse, we only received one key card. Without it, there was no power in the room and no way to use the elevator--so when I needed to leave, my mother had to sit in a dark room. The staff refused to give us a second card and were completely unhelpful both days, not even showing us where the stairs were. Altogether, this was a very distressing and disappointing stay. I strongly advise against booking this hotel.
This was the second hotel on our Jules Verne tour of Northern India, and we spent 2 nights here. It is only a short drive from the Taj Mahal but is situated in a slightly less built-up area of Agra. On arrival, we were immediately struck by the lush gardens and were warmly welcomed by the extravagantly-moustachioed doorman. Check in was swift, and we were soon on our way to our room (105), which looked onto the pool area. The room was a good size, with all the amenities that we needed, but it looked a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. It was quiet though, so we slept well, which was much needed due to jet lag!||Breakfast and dinner in the Chequers Restaurant were included as part of our package, but unfortunately this was not a good experience. The room was far too small and cramped and felt very chaotic - there were no windows, and it was very hot and noisy. The service was not very good - either there weren't enough staff, or they hadn't had adequate training, as the tables were not properly laid or cleared, and it took ages to get drinks. The food itself was very basic and was not topped up frequently enough. Definitely not 5 star standard - more like 3 stars. We enjoyed the rooftop bars more - the Mughal Bar was small but nicely decorated, whereas the View Bar lacked character, but had more seating. It's worth noting that the advertised 'Taj Mahal View' can only be seen during the daytime though. We did not eat in the Mughal Room restaurant, but some of our group did, and they reported that the food was much better than in Chequers (and worth the additional cost). On our second evening, there was a small puppet show in the lobby area between the bars, which was very enjoyable.||We did not have time to go for a swim while we were there, but we did spend some time at the pool area, which looked a bit run-down. Whilst we were there, a staff member approached us to ask if we wanted to order drinks, so we ordered a Pepsi and a Fanta. After over 20 minutes, there was no sign of our drinks, or any staff members, and we needed to shower and change for dinner, so we headed back to our room, only to receive a phone call asking us why we had left the pool area before our drinks had arrived. We felt that this was really rude, and we had to explain the situation a number of times before they agreed not to charge us for the drinks (that we hadn't received because of their slowness). We normally try to be forgiving of such delays, but 20 minutes is too long to wait for 2 cans!||Overall, whilst there were some things that we liked about the Clarks Shiraz, we did not enjoy the experience overall - the poor food in the restaurant and the slow service throughout the hotel are definitely not something that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. In summary, this hotel is ok for a short stay, but there are undoubtedly better places to stay in Agra.
Such a beautiful stay. The staff, particularly Manoj kumar and divya in checkers were so attentive...helping us with learning the language too. The food was incredible tasty and fresh and I wish I had room to try everything. Highly recommended!
