Uppingham Bed and Breakfast

My colleague and I had a wonderful stay with Diana. The whole place was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was first class. We stayed the night before our show at the Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham. We loved Alfie the cat too. Would definitely stay again either for work or with my family.

Stayed in the Single Room. Lovely warm feel with bathroom right next door. Diana was a great host. Made me feel at ease and even dried my clothes after I got soaking wet from riding the South Downs way, and she also provided safe storage for my bicycle. Breakfast was to die for. Diana has a menu with a range of breakfast options. I went for the Smoked Salmon & Poached Egg on a English Muffin and it was divine. All washed down with fresh coffee.

If you want a quintessentially English experience then stay at this charming BnB. A friend and I stayed while cycling the South Downs Way. Diana was a wonderful host, the breakfast was great and rooms great. Super relaxed, super friendly and the bath! After seven hours cycling the bath was the best.

We totally agree with all the other glowing reviews on here. Uppingham is spotlessly clean, with comfy beds and pillows and nice touches like bath robes, TV, good selection of teas/coffees in our room which overlooked the lovely garden. Big bathroom for sole use with lovely bath, separate shower and toiletries. Excellent value for money. Lovely b &

I stayed here whilst walking part of the South Downs Way and it was just what the doctor ordered after a days walking. Diana is a lovely hostess with two adorable cats I was shown to a lovely room and had sole use of the bathroom . I was made to feel right at home by Diana the room was spotless the bed comfy and a lovely breakfast was had the next morning. the packed lunch she provided was tasty and filling and kept me going whilst on my next days walk. It is a little out of the way but very easy to find and definitely worth the extra few yards. A lovely B&B run by a lovely lady

Stayed here for 3 night whilst walking on the South Downs. We had the twin room with large bathroom opposite. The room also had its own shower and hand basin Tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits and hot chocolate. The room was warm and the beds were comfy. Plenty of choicerfor breakfast Fresh fruit, yogurts and a choice of cooked breakfasts with vegetarian options available too, Tea Coffee or hot chocolate to drink with plenty of toast, with honey, marmite, marmalade and Diana's delicious homemade jam. Diana made us very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed, Will definitely stay again

Stayed one night during walk of SDW. Steyning lovely town with lots of useful shops to support walkers on the way. The B&B is a short walk from town..check you have directions...a lovely house with kind host, Diana. Shown to big comfortable room with view over a pretty garden. Diana went to a lot of trouble to answer questions and make me feel welcome. Good breakfast following morning, fresh Porridge, fresh fruit lovely yoghurt and a great choice of cooked menus. Good route out to rejoin the SDW...and great little bakers down the road to stock up for the day.

We loved staying at Uppingham B&B. Diana made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. We were walking the South Downs Way and arrived soaking wet. Diana immediately offered to take our wet clothes and dry them. As it was raining she also kindly offered to drive us into town in the evening. Breakfast was delicious too. Thorough recommend!
