The best Sunday roast I've had in ages. The lamb shank fell of the bone, there was no fat or gristle. The potatoes crispy and plenty of veg on the plate. We each had a large gravy boat full of delicious gravy. Also we had a large dish of cauliflower cheese to share. The staff were very polite and friendly. I would definitely go back again.

Went for what was supposed to be a VE Day afternoon tea very poor Sandwiches on a plate covered in clingfilm and a plate of dry shop bought cakes homemade dry scones and a very small portion of double whipped cream not even enough for one scone (should be clotted) no plates had to ask for them and was then given paper ones we asked for tea for 3 and got presented with a pot for one that we had to ask to have more very poor show no bunting up just a tape playing wartime songs felt like refreshments after a football match I have emailed the pub to tell them how disappointed we were but have had no reply from them we even had to pay extra for our tea
Been here a couple of times & it's a lovely pub! No doubt the new, very experienced owners will do extremely well here! It's traditional, cosy & I love that it has a pool table, which isn't too common in pubs anymore! I'm yet to try the food, but it looks very good!

Nice little pub for a drink, (didn't have a meal)Be warned no matter what the sign says in the bar to ring the bell for service, DON'T as it annoys the barmaid and you will be told off which we found amusing. However we had a good couple of hours in the pub and the beer is good
Proper Sussex pub, full of cosy nooks and crannies. Great staff and a good selection of ale's too Accommodation is very clean and topsy Turvey due to the vast age of the building. Be aware though that on Friday and Saturday evenings it stays open until 2am and is very noisy. No sleep before then!
