We stayed for 2 nights in the large attic room with en suite shower. The room was really comfortable and a great rain shower. What made it memorable over other places at the lower end of the price range were the little things like 2 touch sensitive bedside lights both with USB ports, ample tasty tea and coffee available, good internet connection, hairdryer and an extra electric heater as the room was huge with SO MANY power sockets.|A great low price room at the back of the hotel so very quiet and great sunset view, with parking on site at PS5 a day but we had no problem finding on street parking within 4 minutes walk.

Description of parking isn't accurate. The parking is a well used lay-by that meant there was no chance of parking there and the street recommended is very narrow and unless you have a very small car isn't suitable to use either without aggravating the people that live there. Had to find some paid parking thankfully close by but when you're sorting that out at midnight as a late check in then it's less than ideal. The hinted at cash in hand PS5.00 a day parking in the driveway felt very cheeky considering. Room was clean enough but came in and it didn't make you feel confident about the place with a stained weird feeling carpet as you come in. Bathroom barely had enough loo roll to last a day with no spares and I took a punt at a cupboard that thankfully had some in there but the notices on the wall in the room didn't indicate that it was there. All in all I would use again if I was in a pinch and had no where else to go but realistically I'll look elsewhere first
Nice rooms with plenty of amenities, clean and tidy throughout, options for parking and friendly management. Situated in a great place for supplies and transport.
Wonderful friendly welcoming host who went above and beyond to help cater to my every need. Rooms were beautiful with plush carpet, comfy beds and there was a fantastic shower. Awesome smart TV with Netflix! From the second I booked the manager was so lovely and offered 110% to make sure I was looked after and had a brilliant stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will definitely stay again.
My stay at the hotel was brilliant. Staff were accommodating and always on hand to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It's perfect for a few days, has everything you need. Would recommend to anyone. Lovely people, lovely place.
Having hardly stayed away, I initially looked around at the obvious hotel names, such as Hilton and Ibis. However, my partner convinced me to have a look around at something which was cost effective, as ideally we just needed a place to settle and sleep for the night(s). We stumbled upon Clifton House, and I was extremely glad we did! Initially I was surprised by what I saw on Google Maps, as the exterior of the hotel just looks a little like an ordinary place. However, once you enter the house it is totally different. There are 3 floors in this house overall, with the double room (with en suite bathroom) on the top floor. The room itself was extremely spacious, and was all that you could ask for: great side double bed, open wardrobe with shelves and hangers, a desk with a lamp, complimentary tea and coffee ingredients, coffee table and chairs, a TV with freeview, and bedside tables with lamps. There were also plenty of plug sockets, so you always have somewhere to charge your phone or other mobile devices. The bathroom was through a door and really took my by surprise. The whole room was very spacious and was effectively a walk-in shower, with the toilet and sink at the far end of the room. There was also complimentary shampoo/shower gel, so everything you need is provided! The hotel staff are very friendly and thankfully allowed us to check in later than the regular times, as our train arrived late. Overall, I was extremely happy with our stay. Brilliant stuff!
Fantastic place to stay, efficient, friendly and comfortable. Well worth the money and I hope I can stay again in the future x.
So not the most exotic hotel on the side of an 'A' road and a little slow for people to bring us the keys. However the room was super clean and really comfortable.|Considering the position was very quiet and good place to get head down after long trip. |Bathroom was clean and good fixtures etc. |There aren't any other facilities such as food or luxuries but if you want to be fairly close to Brighton (about 15 min car drive) it's a good choice and not crazy prices.|As limited facilities / parking gets a 3 but nearly a 4 :)
