Avana- A Boutique Hotel

Stayed here 1 night for my Visa Interview at the US consulate. The rooms and restroom are spacious and very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was included with the stay and it was delicious. 4 bottles of 500ml drinking water were provided in the room. The Consulate is very close and easily walkable in any kind of weather. They also have a restaurant at the ground floor for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend staying here if you are especially coming for the Visa interview.

Myself and wife had US visa consular interview on 1 April 2025. We arrived here on 31 March afternoon from Bangalore by car. Happy to note that they have a dedicated open car parking area on the opposite side. Limited buffet breakfast spread; varieties could have been more. US consulate is just a stone's throw, within a few minutes walk. After the successful interview, we walked back to the hotel, checked out and drove back to Bangalore. Highly recommended.

Rooms are perfect. Well sized with good amenities. Reception staff is also good. They did well to accommodate a late checkout by an hour with no questions asked. Lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was a let down. Could be way better. Options and taste. A regular tea was extra since they only had machine options. US Consulate is right across. Hardly a 3 minute walk. Price was a bit costly due to it's location. Should have been around 20% less.

Overall the hotel was good, but the room was small but adequate for staying for a day or two. If possible avoid room 204 as this was the one which was very small. But the room was clean and had all basic amenities, and the bathroom was also clean and had all amenities, the morning breakfast is also good. The wifi is a bit slow and has high latency. I was getting 2-3mbps. The worse experience was the mix play between the person at reception and the taxi/Uber rides. The person at reception offered taxi to Airport for 800 but I was able to get Uber for 700 so I denied the service. The Uber ride was with same group of taxis just outside the hotel with whom apparently the hotel has in-direct tie up. Seems like the hotel person spoke on call with someone from the group I assume asking to deny service. The Uber guy asked for cash payment and asked for 1200 (rather than 700 as per Uber app). This definitely put a bitter taste at end to an overall good experience at the hotel. If it weren't for this taxi tie-up scam, I would rate the stay at hotel 4 stars. I hope the hotel management sees this review and stop the ongoing scam around their hotel with the reception person involved.

Rooms were decent and could have been bigger. Location is a plus. Its opposite to US Embassy. Great street food nearby.

The hotel is located very close to the US Consulate. Hardly 100 m to the consulate. The rooms are very clean with a neat and hygiene toilet. The service was also very good. Could have improved the breakfast, the spread was very minimal. Apart from that everything was spot on.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PROPERTY! Don't stay, for the love of all things holy. Absolutely filthy, dirt on the floor at all times, and bloody money hungry people. They took a charge for an extra bed, which is totally acceptable and normal. But looking at what they gave for 1000 extra bed. What. The. Hell. (Photos are Available on my account). No pillow, no blanket, just a thin mattress sheet and the thinnest of the thin piece of cloth to serve to "warm" you. Never again. The only receiving property of the hotel was that the hotel was newly built.
