Thendral Resort

A small guest house like ambiance and Homely atmosphere. The rooms are clean though small. Friendly prompt service. The food was served freshly made and was very tasty and hygienic.||The hotel is in a quiet residential area way from the crowd. Morning walk in the clean peaceful roads was very refreshing. Feeling of staying in your own place

This place is got hell of an awesome location, the balcony in the room is to die for, its a delight for a person who is seeking peace. The Salem city view is great from here and being on the top the air is cold.||||Rooms are good, clean, good attentive service. The guy serves you good and strong tea and coffee. ||Power back up can be improved for sure.||Overall a good place to stay in if your pockets are not heavy.

Definitely need transport.||- Frequent power cuts. UPS is available only for emergency lighting.||- This isn't a resort, but a lodge with a good view.||||We decided to visit Yercaud on Thursday night. On Friday morning I searched for accommodation. Shevroy's, Thendral Reports & Cliffton came up on Inasra (www.inasra.com). I booked Shevroy's but Inasra told me that they are and offerered me either of Thendral or Cliffton. I had read bad reviews about Cliffton and hence decided on Thendral. Reasons I chose Thendral:||- It said it offered the view of valley. ||- I needed a confirmed accommodation since I was travelling with family.||- I didn't want food, since I would be out during the day and I knew the best places for food.||||As I said, this isn't a resort but a lodge with an excellent view of valley. The view from the room is almost same as that from Lady's seat.||||This room cost Rs 1200. I would split Rs 400 for room and Rs 800 for view.||||Note: If you are planning Yercaud, please consider Lake Forest. Ambience is excellent. For lunch & dinner, Shevroy's is the place.

We booked this place for the view. Whilst the view was great, we were sorely disappointed as it is a small independant house at the end of a non-existant road, with rooms giving a view of the valley, no back-up generator (there are frequent power disruptions) and the most skeletal of service. Basically one of the 114th (and counting!) "resort" that has sprung-up to cater to the mad rush of tourists landing up here by the bus-load. Book this place with a willingness to put up with make-do arrangements in terms of service, solely because other better places are sold out. You can see the extent of pollution when you visit Lady's Seat, from where you get a good view of Salem City-at the foothills of the range- as also the Salem-Yercaud road and its last six hair-pin bends, as the road meanders down hill.

I have stayed with my family consists four, in a car for one day. Best place to stay. Good location.||Room ambiance is also good. Tariff is very nominal. One can extend their stay for one more day due to reasonable price. Car parking also very good.

Rooms are spacious and bathroom are all neat where u can feel the ambience outside if the temperature was good.. Main bed was good but extra bed was not clean and neat... Was considerably ok to stay here....

Location is very good. Rooms are maintained well. Food served at the resort is not that good and very expensive. Advise not to go for food at the resort.

wonderful view point offering panoramic view of salem city from the bed itself and surrounded with greeny coffee estate with in town limit but free from concrete jungle.
