Golden Nest - Yercaud

I stayed at this property in Yercaud on 08/03/2025 for one night, and it was the worst experience of my life. We booked four standard cottages and arrived around 8 PM. While the location was nice, the rooms were terrible in every aspect. The rooms were extremely unclean. The beds were almost collapsing, and the cupboards were covered in fungal infection. Even the bedsheets were dirty and unhygienic. The bathroom doors had no proper locks, and the buckets in the bathroom seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Despite having water heaters, they were not working, so there was no hot water. Water from the bathroom was leaking into the hall, making things even worse. There were hardly any proper plug points to charge our phones, and frequent power outages made the situation unbearable. The bathroom was worse than a bus stand restroom, with a terrible smell filling the entire room. Overall, we were in a situation where we just wanted to run away, especially with small kids and aged parents in our group. I deeply regret booking this cottage. I would not recommend this place to anyone--it was a complete waste of money and completely ruined our trip. To make matters worse, when I called the reception to complain about the heater not working, they simply told me to call housekeeping and disconnected the call. As a first-time traveler checking in at night, I had no idea whom to contact or how to get help. Instead of assisting, they just dismissed my concern. Avoid this place at all costs!

Location is excellent choice to enjoy full top view of Yercaud hills, and you will get friendly service. But, rooms are somewhat ok, because they are preparing for maintenance work. Most of the tourist points are very close to this location, so you can enjoy your trip without travelling much.

Pros: Rooms was twin room .. so specious. Good view from the room. Very near to Yercaud city. Cons: Their was a leakage in bathroom. No wifi , kettle inside the room. Accessing the restaurant was bit combersome . Maintainance has to be improved.

Although I have not stayed at the place, I did go to check it out seeing the amazing photos. Place looked ok but far from what we see in pictures. Rooms also felt very average. I felt this place is better suited for bachelors and groups rather than family or couples.

The stay at Golden Nest was a disappointing experience. ||Following were the problems faced - |1. Front Door: The door handle was damaged, and the lock was faulty. (See attached photo)|2. Chairs: Both chairs in the room were broken and uncomfortable. Despite reporting the issue to the reception, the chairs were not replaced as promised. (See attached photo)|3. Switches: The electrical fixtures in the room were in a state of disrepair. The switches were damaged, the fan regulators didn't work, and the lights were poorly placed. (See attached photo)|4. Bathroom: The bathroom was in a deplorable condition. All the taps were leaking, causing the bathroom to be constantly wet. Additionally, the basic amenities like the bucket and mug were dirty and unhygienic to use. (See attached photos)|5. Food: While the food quality was okayish, a significant portion of the menu items were unavailable, limiting our dining options. Even the tea was not available at 6:30 PM. |6. We had booked a room for three people but the toiletries were provided only for 1 person and that also, on request|7. No Intercom Service. For any room service, we need to call to their mobile number |8. No Wi-Fi in rooms. Wi-Fi is present in the reception but it is not working. |9. No Menu is provided in the room.||Even though after paying so much, the basic needs and overall experience is very bad. ||I would definitely not recommend this resort to anyone.

One of the worst ever stays i have been through... Doors broken Foul smell Bathroom has no privacy Bathroom window broken and open Insects everywhere Bathroom water leaks in hall.. Wall paint comes off and it is all over on u... Even is something happens to u inside the room no one will know.. Because there is no security or camera.. Worst to worst

I booked through agoda one month back, last minute these people cancelled the accommodation with out any proper reason.

The rooms were spacious a with great view outside. The breakfast was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nice property with nature & even with a great view of hill station, this resort is top of the hill station, Its beautiful scenic view of the mountains from the resort.
