Genga Nilayam (Homestay & Rooms)

Overall nice stay. It has sofa, tv and internet. AC only available inside the bedroom where 4 persons can stay. One bed available at the hall. Kitchen available. One basic disadvantage is single bathroom for 5 persons it's not enough. And no separate dress change room since the bathroom is inside the bedroom. We have to wait at the hall if someone changes their clothes. Otherwise everything is nice and the owner was polite and on point.

Stayed at the property very recently just for a day. It was a 1 bhk with 1 bathroom property with the space on ground floor accessible during the stay. Located near the railway station it is quite easy for those who come by train and is a 2 -3 km drive from the highway.The host was very sweet and ensured our time at the property went well. The property is well maintained and properly organized. I was very much impressed about it. The space can accommodate upto 6 with spacious hall. The details of the nearby hotels, hospitals and auto drivers info was provided which was easier. Definitely recommend this place for your stay if you are traveling in this location. This stay feels like home away from home

Couple of times I stayed here with my family, both the times the service was good. It's very near to railway station and easy to access anywhere in the town. Very calm,peaceful and safe location.

All basic facilities available and Homestay was very clean. Instructions can be provided and make available in the home like for AC remote, Gas and other house hood items need to contact the owner for the locker code so that at once everything will be clarified and will reduce the phone calls. Gate can be put so that staircase can be locked and this will avoid kids climbing up the staircase and avoid any injuries.

My sister and I traveled from Bangalore on 11th Feb and reached Genga Nilayam yesterday morning at 4am. The self check-in was very simple and gave us the privacy, as also the whole place was to us. Safe and comfortable. The house is very spacious and kept very neat and clean. Extremely neat bathroom! The house can easily accommodate 8-10 people as there are 5 beds, with extra bedding available. However, there is only one bathroom. The bed linen could have been changed at least for two single beds. The kitchen is spacious with all amenities but we have to take coffee/tea and milk powder for the early morning coffee. The cab driver referred also worked out well as Senthil had a very well maintained cab and took us to the temples (Srivalliputtur) we needed to go. Also, he knew the go to places for the traditional paniyaram, kohukattai and degree kapi and chai that we thoroughly enjoyed! On the whole a good and safe place for two women in our sixties on our own! Would definitely recommend this to any hotel. Suchitra Rao Feb 13, 2025

"Feels Like Home! " We were on an official trip across Tamil Nadu and stayed in several places, but **Genga Nilayam** stood out as the best service apartment. It truly felt like our own home! A special mention to **Mr. Sivaramakrishnan**, whose hospitality was on par with international standards. His service and care made our stay even more special. *Suggestion:* Consider adding refreshment essentials like towels, toothbrushes, soap, and toothpaste. It's just a small idea, not a drawback. Overall, a wonderful experience! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Virudhunagar!
