We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The view from the property is stunning and truly adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The cleanliness of the place is commendable, and the rooms are both cozy and comfortable. The food is absolutely delicious, offering a delightful culinary experience. Housekeeping staff were exceptionally courteous and attentive throughout our stay. The play area is well-maintained and perfect for kids, and the parking facilities are convenient and spacious. Highly recommended for a pleasant and hassle-free stay!

Courteous and helpful staff across the resort. Location of the resort is little interior and most importantly difficult for self driving guests. Rooms are good at the price point charged but not too many amenities and services provided. Food options are limited in the resort and is expected due to the location. Breakfast buffet is limited and doesn't include fruits, cereals, etc. Overall decent stay for families on a short trip with cost effective.

Really nice hotel! We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony that led straight to the restaurant -- basically room service with extra steps (and a few more calories). Now, if you're dreaming of a scenic balcony view... temper those expectations.( Go to Vattakanal) . Not much to see -- but hey, who needs a view when the buffet is this good? Seriously, the food and service had us thinking we were royalty. We loved it as family. One thing though -- when it started pouring, umbrellas were nowhere to be found. They mentioned all were taken by customers and not returned. We gave them a little hint: 'How about renting some out per hour basis? Guests return them and nobody gets drenched. Win-win!'.

I recently stayed at this resort, which is about 20 minutes away from Kodaikanal city. The road leading to the resort is not in great condition, so the drive can be a bit rough. However, once you reach the property, it offers a peaceful and calm atmosphere--ideal for those looking to unwind. Activities are limited, which suits people seeking relaxation over adventure. We paid 13,000 for a 2-day stay during the summer (May), which felt a bit overpriced. I had initially booked a standard room, but since it didn't have a great view, the reception staff kindly upgraded us to a superior room with a much better view. The rooms are well-built and well-maintained, though there may be a few minor repair issues that can be easily overlooked. The food was average--not the best I've had at similar resorts. The quality, quantity, and variety on the menu could definitely be improved. On the plus side, the Wi-Fi access was good throughout our stay. The staff were well-mannered and helpful, which added to the overall positive experience. The property itself is nice, but with better road access, improved food, and some upgrades in maintenance and facilities, it could offer a much more satisfying stay.

Overall great experience. The hotel is surrounded by nature, hills and valley. If someone wants to stay in pieceful clam ,away from city , the this is the best choice. |The service would have been better. Dinner menu little constraints. I would also recommend to change the mattress of beds.

Cons first: (I) Slight hesitation in alotting rooms prior to 12 noon though the rooms available. I know 4 delux rooms were still not booked. But I have to request 2 times in person as I reached at 9AM itself (2) Cheated me by ging a standard room as Delux room which is not worthy for the (3) Nobody even the manager knows or understand Tamil. I am a Hindi pandit and good in English communicating with foreign clients.But my South Indian Hindi or English is not understood by anybody except receptionist.Image a situation of Tamil person like me if I do not know Hindi (4) Food items are ver less and costly (5)No room service (6)Outside town and not even a petty shop is nearby (7) Staffs except receptionists behave weired.They shy away from us as they lack communication, feeling stress or something else They try to avoid us. Once I was looking at the next room while staffs are cleaning ithe room as the guest have vacated. I asked them what type of room it is.I do not know why but the staffs shut down the door. (8)The photos and videos are misleading. Rooms are not that much good and its a ver very small resort. But definetly I will classify this as resort not as lodge Pros: After persuation they gave a good room with good view New Room was clean and spacious Good exterior view. Mist can be seen Though the food item is less, it was tasty. Good for nature lovers. Pleasant and calm Little play area. Manager and receptionist were very very helpful House keeping, hotel catering and all Staffs were helpful and ready to assit. Peace of mind is guarantied with good staffs, location and clean spacious , good view rooms. But you should be lucky to get room with good view

I have a great stay at Avadale kodaikanal. Staff was really good and helpful. We stayed in deluxe room and the view from the room is very good specially when there was full foggy. The food offered over there was really good. There was some time issue with electricity fluctuations. Apart from that stay is really good

Avadale Kodaikanal is a fantastic choice for a family getaway! The hotel offers a peaceful ambiance, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent hospitality. The play area is well-maintained, making it perfect for kids to enjoy. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious food--freshly prepared and full of flavor.
