SRI GNANA VEDHA BEACH RESIDENCY

We stayed for a day in the hotel. We are extremely satisfied with the hotel service. The rooms were spacious and clean, especially the washrooms were very clean. The location of the hotel is such that the church and beach, both are within five minutes walkable distance. Hotel staff was also courteous and never asked for any tips. Food taste can be improved little more. No complaints with the food quality though. Would definitely recommend this hotel for velankanni stay.

The view is just another wall and they've set the ac at 22 degrees max so the room won't get any colder.The receptionist was very rude but the people who conducted services were very polite. The room was hygienic and neat. The food was okay. The bathroom was neat but they could replace the shower as it had absolutely no pressure at all it.

The hotel location was not great as expected and briefed by your agent. It was very congested area. The agent who handled my room booking did not highlighted us. The overall facilities was generally acceptable for a standard resort. The ONLY outstanding factor was the warm hospitality service provided by team of staff, which made our stay comfortable. The staff at the restaurant, room service and front desk was friendly and very helpful. Especially one particular individual my wife and I would like to height, who made our stay more valuable, if I'm not mistaken Anthony Mahindraa at front desk. His guest engagement and some recommendations during our stay was excellent. Kindly convey our appreciation to him and your staff. Kudus to you for having great staff.

It was a wonderful experience staying here, neat and hygiene ambience, hospitality was too good..moreover my daughter's birthday was celebrated by them with lots of care and concern... surely memorable days being here... thank you highly recommendable

Very clean rooms with good services. The only issue I faced was that The restaurant was being renovated during my visit so the basement parking was converted into a makeshift restaurant, which quite honestly fell below standards. But I understand that it was a temporary change, so it can be overlooked. The hotel is situated very close to the church, which was probably the best feature of this hotel !

I stayed here three years in row. Everything is good except the A/C does not work. I reported the night I stayed here. It doesn't work consistently. Stops after every hour. This happened last two times i stayed here. Otherwise location very convenient. Staff friendly.

PLEASE DON'T CHOOSE THIS HOTEL, BETTER SAVE YOUR MONEY! THIS HOTEL WAS A NIGHTMARE FOR OUR FAMILY. Based on an 4.2 star rating here and 8.2 rating in agoda, We booked a one-day stay at 'SRI GNANA VEDHA BEACH RESIDENCY' in Vailankanni , Tamil Nadu on April 26th. Due to incorrect guidance from the hotel staff at the reception, we got stuck in heavy crowds on Beach Road (church road) at 5 PM which was peak time it seems. This was particularly distressing for my family, including my 75-year-old grand mother. Our new car was surrounded by huge crowd and damaged by agitated members of the public they started slamming on the windows and bonnet, car was covered completely with fingerprints and scuffs, who prevented us from moving further. Thankfully, after an agonising hour we eventually managed to reach the hotel. After this tense ordeal, we attempted to explain the situation to the hotel reception saying "they could have asked us to park our car elsewhere till night and parked it later in the night" atleast. Regrettably, the staff member was unresponsive, and lethargic did not offer any apology and was rude, simply stating that such traffic is typical and that it is the only route to the hotel and did not give a damn about our situation. Pathetic! In addition, we faced another issue in the room: there was no hot water at 5 AM, which was problematic as we intended to attend church prayers at 5:30 AM. Despite calling and personally visiting the reception, we received no assistance. We did not get properly sleep thinking that again in the moring we might face the issue to take the car out, so early in the moring at 3:30 AM me and my uncle woke up, took the car out to the beach where it was connecting to the main road and parked it there. Since we were deeply upset and frustrated by these experiences, we left the hotel at 6:15 AM without having the breakfast which included in our package. This was the worst experience I've ever had, and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay near the church. I now question the authenticity of the reviews, suspecting they might be paid or fake. Considering we paid Rs 6000 for the night. Never excepted our family trip to end up in a nightmare like this, If there is possiblity to leave negative stars this hotel I would gladly do so!

The hotel is situated in the heart of Velankanni. Just Opposite to the Main Church. Rooms are well maintained and the staffs are highly polite and well behaved. Only problem you might face is reaching the hotel in peak times because you have to take the market road in front of the church which might be challenging. Everything is at walkable distance ... beach to your right and church to your left. Overall a good stay
