Terrible Customer Service - Avoid This Hotel I recently stayed at Golden Sand Hotel with my family, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. The receptionist, Tony Anthony, was extremely rude and dismissive. Despite having my kids with me, he delayed the check-in process unnecessarily. I had booked a superior room through Agoda, but Tony initially assigned us a normal room instead. When I confronted him about this, he started shouting at me, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Only after I insisted did he reluctantly provide the superior room I had originally booked. This behavior makes me strongly suspect that the hotel does not prioritize online bookings and tries to cheat customers by giving them lower-category rooms. Additionally, The management must train their staff on basic hospitality and customer service, as Tony's behavior is damaging the hotel's reputation. I strongly advise future guests to double-check their online booking and ensure they receive the correct room. Beware of this hotel. I would never recommend staying here unless they drastically improve their service.

Extremely Disappointing Stay - Poor Service & Misleading Room Allocation I recently stayed at Golden Sand Hotel with my family, booking three Superior Triple rooms via Agoda. Unfortunately, our experience was frustrating from the very beginning. Upon arrival, the receptionist, Tony Anthony, was extremely rude and arrogant, making the check-in process unnecessarily difficult. Despite booking superior rooms, we were given standard rooms instead. As a hotelier myself, I immediately recognized the discrepancy and confirmed with the bellboy that the rooms were not as per our booking. When I confronted the receptionist, he initially pretended that the rooms were superior, only admitting the truth when I insisted. After a long 18-hour journey with kids, this was the last thing we expected. Instead of resolving the issue promptly, the receptionist asked us to contact Agoda customer service, further delaying our check-in. After a long wait, we were finally given the correct rooms, but the disappointment continued. The towels provided were torn and unclean, reflecting poor housekeeping standards.It is shocking that guest satisfaction is not a priority at this hotel, and such behavior from staff severely damages its reputation. I strongly advise against booking here. There are plenty of better options near the church that offer a more pleasant experience. The lack of government oversight on hotel standards in this area is concerning, allowing such establishments to exploit tourists without accountability. If you value good service, cleanliness, and a hassle-free stay, avoid Golden Sand Hotel.

I had a very disappointing stay at this 3-star hotel. The room staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful throughout my visit. The parking facility was poorly managed and very inconvenient. The bathroom was small, unclean, and shockingly did not even have basic amenities like soap. Overall, it was a terrible experience that did not live up to even basic expectations.

Stayed at Golden Sand Hotel near Velankanni Church - a decent and comfortable experience. Walkable distance to the church, making it very convenient for pilgrims. AC room provided a pleasant stay at a reasonable price. Rooms were clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. Good for families or solo travelers looking for affordable accommodation near the shrine. Have some parking space. Overall, a satisfactory stay with easy access to the church.

Un clean rooms, bathroom door too small I always bang my head, If you're looking for neat and clean rooms, this place is a disappointment. Not suitable for families. Though it's rated as a 3-star hotel, it fails to meet the standard and needs significant improvement. AC not working properly Don't come

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was a complete letdown from start to finish. The room I was given was very pathetic. The bed was uncomfortable, and the linens appeared to be aged and worn out. As for the service, it was equally disappointing. The staff seemed unhelpful at worst situations. Nobody tried to give a solution for problems with the air conditioner. The experience with this hotel feels like a waste of money. Overall, this hotel failed on every front. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience. I would not recommend staying here to anyone and will certainly not be returning.

Very neat and clean Restaurant also very good food Rate too high for food Room service also available 24 hours Suit Room is very super 7000+GST for it But only one rest room in Suit Room Tottaly is good for Rich people Car parking area available But it is open area Swimming pool also available
