Velankanni Lake Resort

The staff and guests are truly wonderful. Although the service has room for improvement, the rooms are simply fantastic.

Snakes were observed inside the room. We went as a family. With God"s Grace no problem for all of Us. The house keeping is extremely worst. Very rude behaviour by the staff and workers. Extremely bad experience. Think twice before booking this resort.

Good place to stay over man made lake. Just side of the main road to Velankanni. Velankanni church about 10 minutes away. Got to see few palkis fully lit up, with families walking in the dead of the night, making their way to the Velankanni Church

Ambience good; peaceful and silent. Staff are kind.Facilities like cleanliness in rooms, good TV needed; hygiene to be improved. Found big rat when I entered the room. Also pigeons trouble a lot.Canteen service not there.Lighting in nights needed; it is dark everywhere.

Service is bad..when we go there they will hike price and say no breakfast option..its tr in internet but they say they wont provide.. Pigeon litter everywhere Uncleaned So much smell around the rooms No safety guards

Place does not have a restaurant...only cottages are available to rent no hotels nearby.. Although delivery is available via swiggy & Zomato...

We stayed there for a night on 2nd of June 2019 (we had booked 2 Cottage rooms). Superb experience. The rooms were very well done and well decorated. Reached there with my family, at around 730pm and felt that we should have reached earlier. The breeze was flying us off. Brilliant ambiance at night. Food was a bit disappointing (we tried north Indian and Chinese). While taste wise they were not too far off, but the blend of spices weren't right, making the experience not too good. Inside room experience was absolutely awesome. Breakfast on the other hand was not that great. We had to wrap it up within Dosa, Idli and Omelette. The quality of the food was kind of ok. The set up of the resort is worth mentioning and quite conducive for photography. Note for birders - I did not see anything other than crows. Only exception was a couple of Terns that flew overhead. But all in all, I certainly would recommend it for a day/night of stay. Thanks to Mr. Raghavan for his hospitality.

The place is beautiful. The rooms are clean and very nice. We stayed in an AC deluxe room. The room was more than what we expected it to be. The view was amazing and on a hot day, it was so peaceful to sit on the porch and enjoy the sea breeze. We will definitely be visiting here when we come back the next time. They are making the place better than what it is now, so we are waiting to see what are the other things they are going to add and make this place better.
