TaleRock Inn

I would rate this resort and experience 3/5. The property is excellent, offering breathtaking views. It is located deep inside a forest, away from traffic and vehicle noise, making it a peaceful retreat. Special thanks to the manager, Sivakumar, and his team--Muthupandi and Senthil--for their exceptional service and hospitality. However, I am deducting two stars for the following reasons: 1. False commitments from the reservation team- The package included a private waterfall (which had no water when we visited, and we were not informed in advance), a nature walk, and a bird walk. However, the resort staff advised against these walks due to the presence of wild animals, making them unsafe. Additionally, there was no campfire as the resort is inside a forest, where the dry season poses a fire hazard. 2. Time restrictions - Guests must reach the forest checkpost before 5 PM, and it only reopens at 6 AM. 3. Overpriced experience - While the views and service were great, there wasn't much to explore or do, making the cost feel a bit high. 4. Compensation for false commitments - Since I raised concerns about the misleading package details, the manager kindly arranged a complimentary off-road jeep ride through the forest. Overall, a great place for tranquility and nature lovers, but the experience didn't fully meet expectations due to the misleading package details and limited activities.

We had a lovely time at TaleRock Inn. The room was superb and the entertainment area was quite lush and comfortable to spend evenings in. The view from the room's balcony deck was stunning and we even sighted different animals and bird with our binoculars. We loved the piping hot, delicious food served to us by the Chef, who checked on what we'd like for each meal and personalised the menu basis our preferences. While we didn't use the Karaoke machine, the speakers were great and the Pool table got us competing like teenagers for an evening. The service, cleanliness and clarity of communication was spot on. We also did an offroad drive with visits to a hilltop viewpoint and a waterfall [which we could get into]. The guide was superb - friendly and knowledgable about the area. Overall, we had an excellent stay at TaleRock and can't wait to go back again!

We stayed at Talerock Inn at the end of March. Nestled in a serene, remote location atop the hills of Valparai, the inn offered a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The weather was pleasantly cool, adding to the charm of the stay. Room service was excellent, and a special mention goes to Muthu Pandi, the service boy, who was exceptionally helpful throughout our visit. Overall, it's a stay worth experiencing--perfect for a relaxing day in nature.

We, two couples, senior citizens stayed at Ibex, Tale Rock for 4 nights. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time. The location is perfect with a picturesque views of the mountains, valley and tea gardens. The rooms are facing East and we had the view of the morning sun and its rays falling on our balcony and into the room.. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable, chairs and table, provision for making Tea and coffee in the room. It has beautiful sit outs and one can spend hours sitting and reading or listening to music. Staff : The place is basically run by 3 or 4 young boys. The property manager hardly comes there. The boys were very courteous and forth coming to our requests. Special mention about Muthu Pandian..he was very helpful and taking care of us, accompanying us on walks since it is not safe to venture out alone..specially the seniors. checking with us about the food, menu and our tastes. Full marks for him. The chef was very good too in dishing out tasty dishes according to our requests for less spicy food and desserts too were good. Location : Location is perfect, on a hill top, away from any civilization. the last about 300 meters to the resort is a stony path, not laid at all, which only vehicles with a good ground clearance can navigate through. Only thing missing in this resort is place for walks. Since the property is fenced to ward off animals, going outside the gate is not advised without a staff accompanying us. Worth a visit and stay.

Room service and staffs are too good and their service is excellent. It's a quiet and scenic place amidst forest. Adventurous driving. Safari and forest rides can be included. Food is average, only limited items are served after a long wait. Definitely food service needs to be improved.

The rooms, climate, and food are great, but they overlooked the ambiance and the garden in front of the property. However, renovations are currently underway, so it might improve. On our journey to the property, we wish to pay Rs.100 per person and per vehicle to the Tamil Nadu Government in order to access this area. Ensure your vehicle has improved ground clearance; otherwise, you won't be able to bring the vehicle onto the property Close by, there is a viewpoint that is ideal for watching the sunrise and sunset.

From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a truly memorable experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the outstanding service provided by the staff. They were attentive to every detail, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly and with a genuine smile. Whether it was recommending local attractions or attending to room requests, their dedication was exemplary. One of the standout aspects of Tale Rock Inn was the culinary experience. The food served was not just delicious but also showcased a remarkable variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Each meal was a culinary delight, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented beautifully. From hearty breakfasts to delectable dinners, every dish exceeded my expectations. The ambiance of the dining area complemented the culinary experience perfectly, offering a cozy and inviting atmosphere where I could unwind and savor each bite. Whether dining indoors or enjoying a meal with stunning views, the setting added to the overall charm of the inn. In conclusion, my stay at Tale Rock Inn was marked by exceptional hospitality, delicious cuisine, and a serene ambiance. I departed with fond memories and a deep appreciation for Mr.Muthupandi, Mr.Jyothikrishnan & Mr.Arun who made my time there truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend Tale Rock Inn to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with outstanding service and culinary delights.

Came for short one day trip. Had a pleasant stay. We are group of 18 members came here. We had enjoyed hospitality of the staff. We felt like being stayed at home. Still late night ( 11.30 ) also they served food with the menu we have decided. Especially Mr Muthhu and his team. Thank you Talerock. Wish to visit again with family.
