Stanmore Garden Bungalow

Our recent stay at the Stanmore Bungalow in Valparai was truly a delightful experience. The property offers breathtaking views that made for a perfect getaway.||The hospitality was top-notch--special thanks to Mohan, Raju, Bhuvesh, Mr.Abisheak , and the entire team who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Even the gentleman who served us coffee every morning and evening did so with genuine warmth and politeness, waiting patiently to ensure everyone was served.||The food was excellent--fresh, tasty, and satisfying across all meals. We were a large group of 25 people, yet the staff handled everything smoothly, always with a smile. Our group can be a bit loud during late-night chats, but not once did the staff express any discomfort. Their patience and friendliness made a lasting impression.||The bungalow itself is charming and very comfortable, maintaining a cozy heritage feel while being well-equipped for large groups. The plantation and tea factory visits were a great addition and added a unique, educational touch to the stay.||If I were to suggest one area of improvement, it would be to consider regular insect control measures, especially around the rooms and bathrooms. That aside, everything else was impeccable.||Yes, the price was a little on the higher side, but considering the unforgettable experience we had, it felt well worth it.||Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy nature, good food, and warm hospitality in the heart of Valparai.

We were a group of 12 members along with a kid, and our stay was truly wonderful! Although the bungalow is quite old, the rooms were spacious, neat, and clean, providing a very comfortable experience. The food was simple but good, especially considering the remote hill location.|We also enjoyed a beautiful riverside walk and had a great time bird watching. A special highlight of our trip was spotting a group of more than 10 bison at just around 100 meters distance -- a truly thrilling experience!|Overall, it was a memorable and refreshing stay surrounded by nature.

We as family stayed at Stanmore Briar Tea Bungalows. The property is located within the Tea Plantations and views from the property is beautiful. The rooms were tidy and it has all the basic essentials which is needed. Food quality served is good, authentic and tasty. All the staff were polite and helpful. |Its a good property for spending some time within the nature.

We stayed in Monica Garden Bungalow. It was located in a great location amidst all the beautiful tea gardens. Rooms were neat and clean. Garden was well maintained. Food was pretty good and the staff was extremely polite and was always welcoming. We went on a nature walk and a tea factory visit. So you can easily spend 2 nights and won't feel bored. Highly recommended if you are visiting Valparai.

One of the best vacations i had recently. The food n stay was amazing. Dont miss the safari, we were lucky to spot the leopard and elephants in the evening trail. The bird watching in the morning was also good, we spotted many exotic spices including the hornbill. Loved the stay and hospitality of the staffs. Gr8 place to relax.

Stayed in one of the Briar Groups tea bungalows and it was one of the best stay experiences I have ever had. Our bungalow was located in between the serene tea estates hills. The rooms were so well maintained. The room size was huge we could have fitted an entire clan inside. The dressing room and bathroom were well equipped. ||Best of all, the chef and support staff were the most courteous and warm people. They took great care of the us. All the chef made meals so tasty. We had a 8 course meal every day for lunch. The breakfast and dinner were also too good. They took us on a jeep drive to the nearest estates for animal spotting, gave us a memorable ride and served us with snacks and tea in a falls, in the middle of their tea estate. ||Highly recommend trying any of the Briar group of tea bungalows for your next vacation. I'm sure to go there again.

Lovely location, excellent (and too much!) food. Excellent service. Very quiet. Lots of birdlife. Pool is under maintenance. Jeep Safari in their estates. Only odd thing, the packed breakfast for our early departure was minimal. 8 people, 4 veg and 4 thin omelette sandwiches, plus cut fruits. Left us very hungry on the road.

Nice location... beautiful views of tea garden. You can spot gaur/bisons at times. |Very courteous and helpful staff.|Rooms (we stayed in Wooden chalets) were average. Small in size for a family. Rooms are quite old. In our room, there was problem with washbasin leakage resulting in waterlogging in the bathroom. The problem was fixed though.|Food was ok. Some items were delicious, while some average. Common food is cooked and served in an open area (you can request for specific items, which will be made basis availability). |It's a basic stay - not high end. |Around the property there isn't much to do. If you are interested, you can go for water fall some distance away. They have a jeep ride taking around the property and forest peripheral area. Kids can play badminton.|Bonfire late in the evening - with any large families playing loud music till 9 PM.|We paid 26k for 2 days. It did appear overpriced for the kind of stay, perhaps because of last week of Dec.||All in all an ok stay fit for a day or two..
