Ibex Resorts, Valparai (Tale Rock)

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, look no further than ibex resort Tale rock in Valparai. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the beautiful, tranquil surroundings. The resort is nestled deep within the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, offering breathtaking views and an immersive jungle experience. The staff here are incredibly warm and hospitable, making us feel at home throughout our stay. They were always available to assist with anything we needed, from local travel tips to special requests. The hospitality truly stands out. The accommodation is both comfortable and charming, with rooms that offer spectacular views of the forest and tea estates. Each room is well-equipped with modern amenities, while still maintaining a rustic, nature-inspired feel. It's the perfect balance of comfort and adventure!

The whole trip was awesome and the Jeep ride with Senthil Kumar was mesmerizing. It took the whole trip to whole another level. We were lucky enough to see wild bisons. Just the season was off since there were no water in falls. Still loved the whole experience

Our Kovaipudur Walkway Group had a wonderful experience at IBEX Stays and Trails. The hospitality provided by Manager Sridhar and his team was truly commendable. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall ambiance made for a relaxing stay. A special mention to the Chef for the delicious food - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were well-prepared and enjoyed by all. The checkout breakfast was particularly delightful, leaving us with a great final impression.

A recent trip to Valparai was just amazingly relaxing and refreshing. We stayed at Ibex Resorts Valparai's Talerock property which is nestled atop a tea plantation at an altitude from where one can get a panoramic view of the estate and valley below. Hospitality, food and rooms at Talerock are outstanding. We got to go on off road trips in vehicles that the resort will provide at a cost. The road leading to Talerock will signify the beginning of adventure as it will give you an off roading feel immediately. Having said that, I could see cars like Etios and D'zire reaching Talerock. It is a perfect base to venture out on daily trips to various places in Valparai and get back in the evening to sit and relax with your favourite beverage, music, people or all The outdoor lawn area (see pic) is a beautiful place to relax. We were told that the previous week guests having tea at around 4.30 pm got to see a leopard swoop down and take away a mongoose. We missed sighting a leopard by just about five minutes but our fellow guests at the resort got to see it. This was on the road below the resort. Hornbill sighting was spectacular. We got to see these majestic and beautiful birds for over 30 minutes with no one else around. We got to go on an 8 km trek, which led us to a breathtaking view of the entire valley. One can see the Parimbikulam dam from here. The trek is moderate and should be possible for most people (check with your Doctor before deciding to trek). We got to see the very adorable Lion-Tailed Macaque. There a couple of colonies with good numbers. It was heartening to see volunteers of the Nature Conservation Foundation (NCF) regulating traffic and advising tourists on appropriate behaviour around these primates. Overall it was a fabulous getaway and one must mention the great ambience, service and hospitality provided by Ibex resorts and all their staff there right from Manager, Mr. Siva, Jothi, Chef Senthil, Guide and driver Senthil, Sridhar and Muthu Pandi. An Ibex experience at Valparai will be an unforgettable memory. We could see the skeletal remains of a gaur that was taken down by a pack of wild dogs a few days earlier

The last 2-3 kms drive to this place is long single lane off road , very bumpy and requires skills to navigate. There is a 100 govt. charge per person and vehicles (separate) to access this area from the highway - beautiful and scenic drive up to the property - careful in the narrow road. Suite room is huge - surrounded by floor to ceiling 'glass' on 3 sides offering stunning view of the surrounding tea gardens and greenery - BUT there is no window for cross ventilation which makes it very stuffy !!! One is expected to keep the balcony door open ::: what about the insects and other critters which will enter in the evening / night time. Thankfully , No Mosquitoes!! We shifted to another room on ground floor which did not offer any view - but it had a window at least.and a couple of cockroaches!!! Suite room definitely needs needs renovation. Alert - there is no AC , just floor stand fans available !! The food was sooo spicy , we had to eat it with tears as there is no other option and we were extremely late (to reach) and hungry. They did accept an impromptu request for food order but made the Rasam and Curry both 'hot'. Staff is very responsive and try their best to take care of guests as much best possible. They should warn all guests to cross the police checkpost before 5pm else get stuck in middle of no where !! 3 stars out of 5 .. for above experiences

The stay was awesome. The climate is too good. Ambience amd food is very nice. Those who want to refresh themselves can stay for 2 days

Serene.... If you are someone fond of pleasant, calm,silent,chill places , then here is the deal and they provide good food too... I really enjoyed my stay with friends

It was a great experience spending time in there with my family.. we had a great time with all the calm and peaceful nature.The services provided was also good especially jyothikrishan and muthupandi.
