Hotel Sri Ramathirivathi

Very near to Vaitheeswaran temple. TV not working in most of the rooms. Anyone coming to Vaitheeswaran should note that rice items are not served in any restaurant around the temple, not in this hotel too. Intercom phone not working in most of the room. Servicing people could not help much. Bed sheet change once in 3 days. Bathrooms not cleaned by service people. Very hot place but hotel restaurant does not sell lunch. In breakfast and dinner, number of food items are very limited. Corridor dark, both sides windows not open for a good airflow.

The hotel is very close to the west entrance of the temple. The hotel has a restaurant in the ground floor which is very convenient. Has ample car parking space too. The staff are also very kind and helpful.

Three bedroom is convenient . Morning breakfast complementary pure veg food good quality comfortable room price Walkable distance in temple . Nearby railway station and bus stop.

This hotel is just opposite the east entrance of Gopuram of Vaitheeshwaran koil so the location is good. The hotel is just okay, no frills place with rooms that are just okay for a short stay. There are a few flies or bugs sometimes and needs better maintenance. Cost is a bit on the higher side when the facilities and maintenance is considered They provide complementary breakfast which is simple small portions of 2-3 South Indian tiffins which is just okay. This is my second time here in the last two years and it has been better, cleaner than the last time and hopefully it gets better in the future

Pathetic rooms with many small roaches and bugs roaming around. Ok for a few hrs halt but not worth the money. Cleanliness has to be improved a lot, Location is very near to temple

2nd visit: 4.7.2024, Room cleaning is not satisfactory. Toilet and bathroom fittings are to be repaired. Curtains to be washed. Food is good.

3.5 stars This is a no nonsense, non extravaganza kind of hotel. Steps away from the temple, the location is definitely a plus point. This is a 2 star hotel. So, reset expectations accordingly. The sheets were clean but extremely thin. It's too hot without an ac but the sheet is very thin for any kind of warmth. We did not try the restaurant on premise. Lift was working and bare bones that can accommodate only 2 people with barely 2 suitcases.

We went this weekend as a family of 9+2 kids. The only advantage is that the place is very near to the temple. The entrance and the ambience gives you a dirty look and it stinks so badly. The bird cage near the lift has a very foul smell and is maintained badly. The lift are rusty that makes you want to not touch it with bare hands. The room is average. They use solar power for hot water but it can hardly be called hot water. It's not even warm. The buckets and mugs stink as well. The bedsheets/blankets they provide are very thin and flimsy that you can't bear the cold if the AC is switched on and once you switch it off, it's just mosquito bites and sweaty. We were questioned by the Hotel Authorities as to why the extra bed they provided was wet the first morning (We checked in late night and slept. The next morning we left to temple. We were told that the beds were wet after we came back) and we literally thought we made a mistake at our end. The next morning (2nd day), we woke up to water flowing in the corridors and we were told by a set of our family members staying opposite our room that the water had entered their room in the night through balcony and it started flowing out. When we told the authorities about it, they said the staffs who are supposed to clean it will come only at 9am. There is no staff to serve you coffee/tea to your room just because it's raining. We literally had to scold them to get the corridors cleaned fearing the kids or anyone might slip and fall. Not recommended for any family with kids and elders. Worst stay ever. Tye room tariffs look cheaper and nominal but it's just too high for all the negatives.
