Shelter Beach Resorts

We recently stayed at Shelter Beach Resort as a group of family and friends. Location is good. Very close to beach and well maintained. Pool is reasonably large, well mainatined and good indoor games for all ages to enjoy. Staff is very courteous and responsive. Food is good but certain items like tea are overpriced. It is high time to renovate bathrooms and the management may be considering same. Overall a very nice place for a getaway!!

We stayed in shelter resort for 1 day. It's a very nice experience. The place was calm, neat and we stayed in standard room which was really good. The service is one of the best and the responses are really fast. The dinner is on our own expense and it's very reasonable compared with other places.Dinner taste was also good,we ordered panner tika,crab soup and fish fry. Evening time near beach is very relaxed with family with tea and snacks and small games like kite flying and archery. Morning breakfast was complementary and it is one of the best you get for the money. Improvements needed: Might increase some activites in the evening...some fun time in the night would add more value for the money we paid. Toilet refresher can be placed in addition to exhaust fan.

This is a great spot for a peaceful weekend getaway. The private beach and resort are well-kept, and the buffet, while simple, was enjoyable. The staff were friendly and courteous. However, the door system could use some improvement. It was quite disruptive when neighboring rooms opened and closed their doors, as it created the feeling that someone might be trying to break into your room. Aside from that issue, I didn't experience any other negatives. Overall a good stay..

Service was excellent. Mr.Anand from the property helped us making the booking smooth and took care of us right from check-in to check-out. The food was delivered in lightning speed and the taste was also very good. All the staff were polite and greeted us with smile. Will highly recommend this property for family or official get together.

We had a good time here at this resort with my family... We thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment... Hospitality, behaviour of a staff, food, beach lawn etc was fantastic and no words to express.... I highly recommend to visit this resort....

Excellent place for a weekend getaway. My kids thoroughly enjoyed Kite flying and fishing. Staff were polite and courteous throughout. Decent indoor games room and a good children's park. Few suggestions to the management. No snacks were available after 6 PM which was inconvenient as we were in beach activities and arrived late at the restaurant in the evening. Swimming pool water quality can be better.

We stayed last week at Shelter Beach Resort, about 42 km from Chennai Central, for our anniversary and had a relaxing experience. The property is spacious, peaceful, and filled with greenery. Rooms are large and comfortable. They offered activities like kite flying and archery for kids, along with evening snacks (paid) by the beach. The on-site restaurant is open to the public--we tried prawns and chicken; the chicken was good, but the prawn dishes need improvement. The only downside was the return transport. If you're not driving your own vehicle, book a cab or rental in advance, as finding one last minute is tough & even local drivers charge extra.

Been here for a team outing. Contains a turf for games, 2 covered places for team assemblies and a small children's park. Observed small wooden cabins @ the beginning and rooms after the gathering plots. The beach is accessible and well maintained. Food was good with limited varieties! Has a swimming pool that could accommodate around 20-25 ppl. But the drawback is that the recycling of water (a 1 inch pipe refills water) and is largely exposed to sunlight starting from noon making it difficult to enjoy. Washrooms and changing rooms also need to be managed.
