Hotel Grand Ashok, A Bergamont Hotel - Tanjore

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Cleanliness and hygiene is the first thing I search for in any hotel stay and this place gets 10/10 marks for that. 1) Staff at the hotel is very courteous and helpful 10/10 2) Cleanliness and hygiene is very good 10/10 3) Maintenance is very good they keep hotel spick and span 10/10 4) Breakfast is very tasty and they keep changing the menu which is cherry on the top. I want to specially mention Mr Rajesh Khanna who hosts the guest at the the breakfast as if we are his personal guest. 10/10 with 5) Toilets are cleans and bathroom supplies ample 6) One last thing I want to mention that the rooms in this hotel are huge you will not find this huge room at any of the places. All in all good and comfortable stay. Highly recommended

Had come on an official trip with my team & stayed @ Grand Ashok on 24th & 25 th April 2025. The room was spacious & well maintained. Complimentary breakfast was simple & good. All the staff were courteous & a special mention to hotel General manager Mr. Karthik who ensured that we had no complaints. The way he approaches all the guests & ensuring that all the guests are satisfied needs to be specially mentioned. Overall, a fantastic stay, great value & highly recommended hotel for a perfect stay for families & for all persons.

The Grand Ashok is located on the Trichy-Tanjavur highway, opposite the RTO. It is slightly located outside the city and about 8.9kms from the Thanjavur Railway Station. |The hotel is clean and bright with large & spacious rooms. ||The rooms are bright, and have large windows. I was impressed with the cleanliness and freshness of the linen. Pillows were of the right softness and smelled good. |The toilets are clean, with the right amenities and kept spotlessly clean. ||Room service is quick and efficient. They make an effort to speak in more than one language and ensure to help you. |The buffet complimentary breakfast is served in the boardroom on the 1st floor. It can get a little crowded and stuffy hence go early.|Food is good. ||Overall a good stay and worth the money.!!

Absolutely Horrible Experience - STAY AWAY! This was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The moment we stepped into the room, we were hit by a foul, musty stench that made it hard to breathe. The washroom was even worse -- reeked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Mold on the tiles, hair in the sink, and the toilet looked like it had seen better centuries. Disgusting doesn't even begin to describe it. What's even more infuriating? The obviously fake five-star reviews. It's clear they've been forcefully added to manipulate ratings. No sane person would give this dump more than a single star unless they were bribed or coerced. Don't be fooled by the glowing reviews -- this place is a complete nightmare. The staff year are too rude and non-responsive to any of your queries If you care at all about hygiene, comfort, or even basic human decency, do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else. This hotel should be shut down by the health department.

Hotel has a lot of potential, just need to update little things like the bedsheets, furniture, mattress. The room is spacious with nice shower and amenities. The entire hotel staff is exceptionally great and accommodating. They made our stay very comfortable. All concerns were promptly addressed. Food was very good. And the food service staff was excellent. Made every attempt to provide any dish requested. Overall very happy with our stay Kudos to the entire staff for their professionalism and courtesy.

We had an excellent 2 weeks stay at this hotel. Though breakfast menu is limited, food is tasty and the hotel staff is very cooperative and responsive. Rooms are spacious and clean. Though open parking is available, it is common to all restaurants there, so during rush hours parking might be an issue.

With Spacious rooms and warm hospitality, this hotel is a good budget friendly business hotel. The breakfast is offered in conference hall, spread is fair, however they lack a restaurant with good ambience. Service is prompt and commendable. They have scaled miles in hospitality , however provision of amenities like pool and gym would have enhanced the overall experience better.

The breakfast is excellent and great hospitality. Very helpful. On the house keeping front there are a few improvements- promptness needs improvement, reception ( front desk) needs to be courteous. Durga from house keeping is exceptional and that helped us to stay back in the hotel. 5 stars to her.
