Omkara - The Fives Guest house

The guest house is a 12 min walk from Ramana ashram. The service from the manager and owner was great. I stayed in a secondary building as the main first house was full. I had some issue with the room and noise from a neighbour. The owner heard my complaint and immediately offered to move me to the other building as space became available. The room was pricey for what you get, but the service was fantastic. Friendly, accommodating, open, responsive. I would stay there again. (But in the main building)

I had a truly wonderful experience staying at Omkara Guest House in Arunachalam. The location is ideal--just a short walk from Ramana Ashram, The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the essential amenities for a pleasant stay. A special word of appreciation for Manager Sudhakar, whose hospitality and dedication truly made our stay memorable. He was always available, attentive to every detail, and went above and beyond to ensure guests felt at home. His warmth, humility, and genuine care reflect the spiritual essence of Arunachalam itself.

The staff was friendly and responsive to any requests. The location was convenient, with easy access to temple and nearby locations.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms are very clean, well-maintained, and hygienic, with equally clean and well-kept washrooms. It's an excellent choice for families, offering rooms at very reasonable prices. The staff is highly supportive, and I want to especially thank Manager Sudhakar for his kindness, availability, and exceptional assistance during our stay. The hotel also provides transportation facilities, making it even more convenient. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families.

They have two separate buildings located within 2 minutes walking distance. It was a comfortable stay at a decent enough location. The standard AC room was clean and comfortable for 2 adults. The bathroom was clean with a geyser for hot water. Free WiFi was available, there's no TV. The owner was friendly and accommodating. We can walk to Ramana Ashram in 10 minutes and Annamalaiyar Temple in 30 minutes from the property. There are eateries on the main road (10 minutes walk), and Zomato delivery is also available. Overall, reasonable value for the price (1500 per night).

I along with my wife and my daughter(2 years) resided in this hotel for a day 19th april.. everything was good till night when we returned to the hotel after the temple darshan...it was around 9:30..my daughter was having cold and doctor suggested to have lukewarm water to have.once we got down from the auto at the hotel... I asked the person who was available at that time(it's not Mr.Sudhakar) whether can I get some lukewarm water for by daughter to drink as we the water which we got was over and there was no kettle provided,the person available at that particular time said they are is provision as such and I asked him can he do something,he did not respond anything..at the same time the auto person who was travelling with me from evening hearing this conversation said my home is just a minute away...can I bring the warm water... I was convinced with his behaviour from evening and told him if it's ok for him..he can bring and that person in the hotel was listening to that and did not say anything (I want to specify here that auto person was recommended by Mr Sudhakar).. I went to my room and after 2 minutes I got a call from Auto person that he brought the water... I came down but he was not available there...but Mr Sudhakar was there and started talking with me in a harsh manner telling how can I tell an auto person to bring Water, what am I thinking about of that hotel/guesthouse..am I thinking as it is my house...he was just going on talking...then I told him.. I needed warm water and the person who was available at that time said he can't provide it...so what should I do... I can understand his view about quality of water....but in the whole conversation he never admitted that there was fault from there side that warm water will be provided if we ask.....he was leisurely telling me that we will provide warm water if asked...then I asked him why your person gave the wrong information and there was no answer for that....he was just talking about what I was thinking of the guest house...and the auto person...the same question I asked him....if the auto person is not a good person... How can you send that auto person with us...there was no answer.... Anyhow...this was my experience.... I am not posting this to be negative for them... I just want them to be more specific about things while check in

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly approachable and friendly, making me feel right at home. A special shoutout to the manager, Mr. Sudhakar, who was exceptionally helpful in arranging transportation for me. The room was clean and offered great value for the price. I highly recommend this hotel for solo travelers, and I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in town!
