The Kaya Homestay

Stayed on Feb 11. Premises were clean and close to temple. We booked the 2 bhk apartment. Host was professional, thoughtful and well mannered. Catered to all our needs. Kitchen was equipped with RO purifier. Television and wifi are also available. Lift is not available but it wasn't an inconvenience for us. I would recommend kaya

I stayed in this homestay in Sep 13-15 2024. Booking done through GoIbibo. About the company: The firm that runs this Homestay is in the business of taking multiple properties or apartments on rent in and around Srirangam and giving it on Rent to travellers and pilgrims, under the brand name Kaya. I am not sure if they do have license to let these properties on Rent in this manner. I did not see any license displayed in the property. About this property: This is a two storied street house, ground floor is used by someone else. First and Second Floor has been taken on rent by this company. First Floor is branded as Deluxe and the Second Floor as Standard Rooms. I will comment only about the second floor room, as I used the Second Floor room. This is a small room (250 sq,ft) in the terrace directly exposed to the heat of Trichy. The following are the reasons why I am disappointed with this property and management. Inspite of raising these issues to the management and their representative, no help was provided. a. First the management or GoIbibo should have mentioned that this property is in the second floor and does not have a lift. I am a senior citizen who had a surgery recently. I would not have taken this property if I had known about this. I raised this to one Mr.Arun who was of no help to accomodate my request. Except that he arranged someone to carry my luggage to the second floor and bring it down. Other than that, nothing was done by the management. b. Coming to the facilities here are the shortcomings (photos attached): 1> Bathroom Flush was not working and faucet was broken. 2> Bathroom did not have a mirror and if one has to shave, the person has to shuttle between the bathroom and the hall. 3>Room does not have a wardrobe or shelf. 4>One has to hang their clothes in the hook that will cover the mirror (see photo) 5>Room is in the terrace with direct exposure to heat and radiation. At this heat, AC is not optimal. 6>Bed Bugs in the mattress. 7>Soap/Towels were not provided. We had to ask for them. 8>There is a cow barn opposite to this building and the entire place stinks of cowdung. 9> For this, the management charges Rs.2800 per night. 10>Security Risk: The property is not manned by anyone exposing the occupants to great security risk. Though there is a front desk. Its only a showpiece and anyone can enter the building. Ofcourse, they have installed a cctv camera in the building. 11> One cannot use the kitchen in the first floor as this is for the Deluxe room occupants. 11> The only advantage, as I see is the proximity to the temple. Its less than one km to the Rajagopuram. Management should fix these issues and make the listing transparent. This includes the Aggregators. I have written this so that another traveller doesnot endure this pain that I had to undergo.

The worst piece of service. There should be an option to rate someone zero. 1 advice, never pay ahead to these people. They don't care once they receive money

It's near the South Gate of Ranganath Temple. Good hospitality. Good place to stay.

Place was decent. Nearby to temple. Flexible check in and check out.
