We stayed on May 2025. Hotel rooms are really old. Fan will run but you won't get the air. No hot waters will come. Bathrooms are very nasty. Don't trust the pics they have. For classic they charge 2500 rupees but this room worth only 1500 rupees. Don't go here we suffered a lot. If you ask for coffee also it will take 30 minutes for them to give.

We had a very bad experience at this hotel. The room was dirty and smelly. None of the room amenities were working. The air conditioner was not working properly, and the ceiling fan was making a lot of noise. We didn't have a working phone in the room, and the TV remote was broken. The toilets were very dirty and had a bad smell. We checked into the hotel at 5:30 in the morning. By 9 am, we were already trying to tell the staff about the problems. We told them many times, but they didn't fix everything. Some technicians came to try and fix the problems, but they didn't fix the AC and fan issues. We suffered through a very hot day because of it. We were not provided an alternative room also. They just wanted us to pay more money, even though we were having a bad stay. The hotel staff and manager only cared about themselves and didn't care about our problems. They demanded that we pay the full bill of 2217, even though we told them about all the issues we had. In the end, we had to pay 2000 for a terrible Non-AC room with all dysfunctional amenities. The manager was not helpful at all. We don't think this is a good hotel, and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's also worth noting that the hotel only responds to positive reviews and ignores negative ones!!

Non of the Room amenities were working, AC was running but not efficient at all, Ceiling Fan was too noisy so we didn't have an alternate option but to suffer in heat. Room landline phone was not working, TV remote was dysfunctional, and don't even get me started on the toilets, it was too smelly and bad odor. We checked in around 5.30 am and by 9 am I tried to contact the reception about the issue but landline was not working, I had to contact through my mobile. There were some technician who came and changed some batteries of AC and TV remote. Even then the AC was still not working. Tried to raise the issue multiple times but no remedy was given. Requested for alternative rooms but that was denied as well. Hotel staf and manager were only concerned about themselves and demanded us to pay more. Final bill was Rs.2217. Even after explaining our worst staying experience the manager was demanding us to pay the entire cost or else they will have to pay from their pocket. Finally we had to pay Rs.2000 for a worst Non-AC room with all dysfunctional amenities. Would never recommend anyone to choose this hotel.
I booked a budget double bedroom with complimentary breakfast. After check in, i noticed cigarette smell. Then i informed receptionist they changed my room and that room is not a problem. Their breakfast is worth and it is a buffet. The staffs are very gentle and in a polite manner. The only con is mattress which is not a worst but needs some improvement. Thank you! This is my second review, Their deluxe room is way spacious. The mattress is good but too small. Its better if they change the mattress. That is the only con. Everythingelse is same good as before.
Hotel Sonas is very beautiful from the outset/appearance. However, there are surprises when you get inside the room. First of all, the hotel is located at the center of the city just near to Main Guard Gate /Chathiram bus stand. Most of the temples/shopping centers are at average distance from this hotel. The rooms lack of facilities. The bathrooms are not so neat. Beds are all old. Bedsheets are dirty. Geyser was not working for two days. These things need to be repaired in few minutes after the repair. Namesake there was TV, but has only free channels. That's OK. Phones are pretty dusty. No label on which number to dial for reception. The menu cards kept at rooms were torn. Basically, the management has failed to attract customers by keeping poor maintenence and housekeeping. Room boys never helps customers. Buffet breakfast was good but average, cannot compared to other hotels. There is a lady staffs at restaurant who is very caring and is the only plus point in this hotel. Billing/Front Desk is very slow. Parking available at basement. All modes of payment accepted. There is restaurant inside the hotel called Gem. In short, great location but lacks customer service and neatness.
Last month I had my daughter puberty ceremony in this hotel.. Hotel ambience is good but they cheated badly.... especially that GM the who is wearing specs and his lady staff named Manju..they gave me the price per plate 600 for non veg without bill..I ordered for 100 plates non veg and 10 plates veg... The biriyani was too worst.. When I booked the hall,100 times I asked whether it's halal ..he said yes.. But the guests those who came to function scolded me very badly that how you selected this hotel... bcoz food was very very worst taste... Pls don't refer this hotel to anyone in future...it's cheating manager. Really all my relatives and friends got frustrated about food.. Sorry for late review...
Completely unprofessional staff. Goofs up on their software booking and blames it on the customer. Then leaves customer running from pillar to post for refunds and does not bother to support the refund process either
