Ramyas Hotels

I attended a 3 day training session organized by CII at this hotel... The conference Hall was good enough to accommodate 25 participants... The hotel was well organized and maintained clean.. The staff were also very supportive.. But I was surprised to see the buffet lunch served in a Hall with no tables (only chair 2 among 3 days) ... The parking facility and it's location near the bus stand and railway station adds to it's advantages. I'm not Commenting on room because I didn't stay there...

This was not our first stay at Ramya's, and it certainly won't be our last. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Their service--from the front desk to housekeeping--has been excellent.||Our heartfelt thanks to Mr Nagaraj and Ms Vimala from housekeeping, as well as Prabu, Mohan, Kupuraj, and Pichaimuthu from the restaurant. We regret that we are unable to recall the names of the rest of the wonderful staff, but kudos to all of you.||We look forward to seeing you again soon.||Guest: 436 & 536

There are may things we liked about the place. The location was central -- near Railway and Bus stations, with availability of cans and autos nearby. Their roof top restaurant is great -- great ambience with a nice view, excellent food. Their Vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor is also good (although the menu is limited and service is a trifle slow. And there is another good restaurant at the basement.|The employees at the Reception, Housekeeping, restaurants are all courteous and helpful. |They have a cab service attached to the hotel. The drivers are knowledgeable about sights in Trichy and nearby towns. You can hire them by the hour and cover many sites in a single trip.|The hotel prices are reasonable and value for money.

Location is perfect. Vegetarian restaurant served excellent meal for lunch. The front office personnel are unprofessional and tried to cheat on the room allocation. It happened with couple of other guests as well. Ensure that you are given the same type of room that you paid for. 30 minutes to checkin was a big pain. Buffet Breakfast and the service were great. The staff expect Tips for every transaction. Better coaching needed for them.

Old ramshackle property. Tiny 10x10 feet rooms. Peeling walls. Stained toilets. Had a great view from my room Tips are demanded for every service from check in to check out. Seems like management encourages tips as they pay their staff poorly. Not worth your money

Our check in took long as they had messed up the booking but was sorted eventually. Despite asking for a quiet room we were given a room on fourth floor overlooking a busy street and the traffic noise at night disturbed our sleep. The sound of other guests from adjoining rooms and the corridors was also bothering us. The reception staff did nothing to change our room despite complaining.|The room and bathroom was large, though very dated and desperately needs refurbishing. The bed was ok and we were given all normal amenities after asking for those. The towels looked over used and needs replacement.|The biggest issue was unavailability of hot water. After complaining, a guy came up but the water we got was barely warm. In the evening at 6pm, there was no hot water at all. On the final day we had to request hot water in a bucket for my wife as there was no hot water. Water was filling up the shower tray which was getting filled up within a minute of shower. Nothing was done about that even after complaining.|The positive feedback is only for the housekeeping staff and security guards who were great. They were helpful and polite.|Overall not a good experience and will not recommend this if you need hot water for shower.

One thing is I find it difficult every time to park my car when it is for more than 2 or 3 days. At least they can allot permanent parking for people who stay for a longer period. I know it is difficult to manage a large parking place with the hotel in the main locality.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! We stayed here for 4 room nights and had the worst experience of our holidays here. Initially , the rooms smelt of drainage , possibly coming from the washrooms, after which we had to change the rooms. While the food served at the restaurant was not bad, the food and the drinks served in the rooms was terrible. The club sandwich had just a pineapple and a layer of lettuce and the cocktails was terrible. As we were managing an infant we didn't return the food at that time. However, later on when we complained it was not received well and at the time of check out we were made to wait for close to an hour as we didn't want to pay for these poor quality food and beverages. We were OK to pay inr 27,000 for the stay but not the inr 2,000 for these sandwiches and cocktails. However, we were almost coerced to pay for these despite submitting a written complaint a day earlier. And yes, some staff lack the manners and just barge in the room invading our privacy and stand there to be tipped every single time. Also, they take only cash for drinks. Don't know why but seems weird for a large hotel to do this.
