OYO India Gate

Booked 2 rooms at Hotel oyo India Gate. through booking.com.Came to check in and was taken aback by shock and surprise of a life time. The place doesn't look anything like the pictures posted. There is no parking facility and gutters overflowing in front of the hotel. We were asked to pay partial amount while booking which we had done. During check in we were forced to pay the remaining amount. Usually, any hotel asks for the amount only at the time of check out, but here we were compelled to pay the remaining amount. We were even asked to an extra amount aswell. 1. The rooms were not cleaned and the bedsheets and pillows were not changed which were stinking very badly. 2. The rooms which were supposed to be delux rooms, the AC was not working and a fan which was there wouldn't oscillate. Not to mention the room was filled with mosquitoes whichgave us sleepless night. 3. The bed, OMG, the springs in the bed were out. We were literally sleeping on the spring The next day, before we left for sightseeing, we mentioned at the reception about all the problems that we faced and asked them to change. On returning back in the evening, we asked them for the change and the person at the reception Mr. Shaan was very rude to us. He was blaming us, saying that we should have given the key before we left and they would have cleaned it. Is it possible to hand over the key with our luggage in? We asked him to clean the rooms now that we were there, he was like there are no bedsheets and pillows covers available. On constant arguments, finally they came and changed, but we were not given any bedsheets to cover ourselves. We had informed at the reception that we would be checking out early the next day and to keep our bills ready. When we went for the bill, the receptionist says, he would whatsapp the bill for which we denied and insisted a hardcopy of the bill. For which the person spoke very very rudely and said the our check out time was 11 o clock and he would give it then. Never heard of anything like that. We left without the bill. Overall a very bad or rather worst experience we had. Suggest people to not be carried away by the pictures posted, it doesn't not look anything even nearest to that. Those who plan to book a stay here, please go through the reviews before doing it because all the reviews are 100% right and my family has experienced it as well. If there was an option, I would rather the hotel 0. Bookings.com should never recommend this hotel to anyone

Was in this hotel between 24-26 dec 24. They ordered 1500+ more money then booking amount. Bedsheets were not changed, irst sme from bedsheets, they didn't have bedsheets to change for replacement, toilet was not cleaned. They were not bothered about giving bad reviews. When asked for bill they will give while checking out, when checking out they said they will send by whatsapp. Till date not received the bill. I don't know why oyo or booking.com include this place for people to struggle when they go for a vacation

Very Bad, I booked the room in OYO at a discount, went there to checkin. He added extra bills in check in and try cheating me. I called the customer care and spoken with their manager and removed it. As I didn't pay. He denied me access stating I am not having a local ID. I was left room immediately Receptionist and manager not responding any issues,they are playing with customers This is not correct way to do hotel business Don't prefer anyone this oyo India gate hotel thoraipakkam Very worst experience,no clean rooms and booth rooms

Worst hotel in Chennai, the owner is scamming the people, you will be extra charged for Dirty room. Asking 3-4 times of already paid money. Dirty room, bedsheet with blood, human liquids and not even good clock in door. No safety for women or family. Stick floors and stinky bathroom. Worst experience. I will never suggest any room like this. Don't go to this place ever

Very very worst service me and my wife camed on monday my wife is not well morning 10 am check -in we have a train @3pm i asked only 4 hours only he asked 3000 what nonsense this is then i will pay 2,800 for 4 hours the receptionist Hindi Boy I asked him to give your md number he said md only asked to pay 3000 (Otha Thevidiya paya ) oyo is totally waste dont go this room not safe for womens, next time i will come and break the hotels mind it chiiii......

I have never seen this kind of hotel in my entire life. The room is dirty. The receptionist is rude. First day they are charging 2000. Next day they are charging 2500 for the same room. Stayed 2 days. No one came to clean the room. But the horrible thing is at night 10 o'clock, some guys were knocking at my door. When I opened the door they went straight to my bathroom with a drill machine and a basin that the manager told them to work in our room. I don't know how it is possible when someone is staying in that room. Any time either it is morning or night you can experience a power cut. The bed was so dirty. Some blood spots were also there. It haunts me now. How can someone live in this kind of hotel.
