ROYAL HOUSE AND PARK (TRANQUEBAR)

This is a lovely, small hotel, quaint in its overall ambience, and with old time charm and hospitality. The owner, Mr. Manohar, is there 24x7, very hands-on in ensuring small needs are also met with, and very courteous. The staff - many akkas and one young thambi, are helpful and warm. |Love the bullock- carts, boats rickshaws and cycles that dot the compound, in between pavilions with seating where you can eat and chat. The best part is the access to the beach from the back gate- 20 steps straight and you are at the waterfront.|The lack of WiFi may be taken as boon or bane, depending on your perspective! But I was assured that this would be rectified soon.

Avoid! One of the worst places to stay for the prices these third party offers. Lots of mosquitoes, and insects. Broken bathroom fittings. 10 idlis and 8 little uttapams costed Rs 1200 rupees. No decent eateries around. The bungalow doesn't allow walkins for lunch. Even if you book, worst case , book directly calling the owner. Goibibo costed me 4.5k extra. Such daylight scams.

We contacted them via phone. They responded well and quickly. The beach house is more of a cottage or home than a resort. It's fitted in between nature. The beach view rooms, the birds, the amenities, and the service were all amazing. Food is provided based on pre order. They are flexible and also provide boating services if informed prior. Go for it.

Awesome experience... very friendly staff.. best place to stay with family. We were very happy with the stay as it was very comfortable, room was very clean and spacious. Peaceful stay and tasty food. Would highly recommend to everybody.The beach view was wonderful. Thank you team for your service, excellent food and exceptional hospitality ,makes our stay really enjoyable would definitely visit again with family.

Nice place to stay for a night or two. Very quiet & peaceful. Not much to see or do in Tharangabadi but a good to place to relax. Rooms are neat & clean with comfortable beds. Hotel staff are good & interactive with guests. Breakfast was expensive & would suggest to eat somewhere outside. Pls call & book as its cheaper compared to online. They have two sea facing rooms which can only be booked via call. They have access to beach but its not that kind of a beach where you can get into the water & enjoy. Just chill & enjoy the view.

The room was small with a very uncomfortable bed and peeling paint. The bathroom was very basic with cold water only. The staff were not very helpful or interested in us while we were there. They didn't help us very much. The outside space was good with lots of caged birds and quiet places to read.

The trip was amazing and your resorts deserves Hospitality in reception very neat in environment maintenance , and the catering was very punctual and tasty. Intends to visit again with family. We enjoyed the dawn in the Beach. My Best wishes n appreciate all your staff who rendered their kind attention on us. Thank you.

##Must Visit Place## This place will win your heart immediately. Antique house converted to resort. Old furniture antique items add another level of beauty. Very close to sea and famous Danish Fort. Rooms are wonderful big. Clean linen on bed. Neat and clean washroom. Very friendly and homely behavior. And super tasty food. Very authentic local cuisine.
