Tanjore Inn

The inn is a nice small hotel/homestay. The room and bathroom were generous size, the bathroom could have been cleaner and perhaps equipped with more shelves, hangers for toiletries and towels. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast very nice. The location is very close to the big temple around 1km, and there is an excellent restaurant a few doors down, Chellannals Manpaanai Samayal.

We were a group of 5 girls on our trip, personally waiting to stay in this hotel after booking it prior to the trip. The guy who handled bookings gave us 2 rooms- one above and one below which wasn't acceptable to us initially as we were skeptical about the safety but we were left with no choice. They had agreed to let us all stay in one room as we were ready to pay for both rooms n adjust in one room. But they were adamant that we also paid for the extra bed. I feel this place lacks safety as doors hinges were very weak like almost could open with a slight force. Also rooms were poorly kept, unclean and not upto what the other reviews say. Beautiful place. And such amazing service. Room and bathroom are normal and decent, nothing great. Breakfast is included in the price. There is a restaurant right next door and many other restaurants around this area.

Dingy dark place with challenges is basic facilities like hot water, decent wifi, bathroom drainage. We had to repeatedly be after staff to give wifi, to get hot water(geyser not working). I had to run up to the reception twice to remind them for "bed coffee". There is no way to contact the reception. Will not recommend.

We would not recommend this inn. It's in need of updating. The deluxe room was anything but! We had to ask for a top sheet on the bed and the bathroom was poor. ||Breakfast was similarly inadequate with offering of fruit and bread. We did get an omelette when we asked but it was not offered. ||Overall not a pleasant stay

This is independent house with 8 odd rooms. Beautiful surroundings and very near to temple. Rooms are big and clean. Support staff is helpful and polite people . There is a very good vegetarian restaurant at 50 meters. One of the best place to stay. Temple is near by , peaceful place, all shopping places are near by. Parking you need to do it road side.

I stayed here with my dear friends for 4 nights. This place is highly recommended for someone who is looking for a homely place for true tanjorian culture. The manager Aravind and the staff are very polite and always there to help you out. Daily breakfast was good. Rooms were very neat and clean and so were the toilet's. Room lighting could have been better but I am sure they'll mend this in near future. It was really an excellent experience and this place is highly recommended!!
