Sundex Mahal & Apart Hotel

We had an amazing experience in this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. A special mention to the hotel staff who were courteous and warm, and the resturant staff were also fantastic and welcoming. All in all, a good and pleasant stay.

Very good Ambience. Newly constructed. Rooms are neat and clean. Highly recommended. Hotel was not able to provide laundry facilities, hotels need two full days for laundry facilities. Check in 12 to 12. Laundry provision will collect 10 am first day and return at next day 4 pm hours. Can provide within 24 hrs.

I found this hotel while browsing through thanjavur hotels. |Called them and booked for 3 nights, they asked for advance and i paid Rs. 2000.|The front office staff, madam priya and mr karthik are very helpful.|It's a one year old place, well maintained. They have service apts and hotel rooms. |We booked hotel rooms.|Rooms r small , well maintained. |There is a geyser which has to be switched on, there is no 24 hrs water supply, sometimes in winter, the time we went , we will need more hot water. Here when we use hot water in the sink, then there is less water to take bath, it takes 10 mins to heat up. This is disadvantage. |There is no hand shower, a bucket and mug is provided, i asked for a small stool to place the bucket, which i got, later in the day, when we were not in the room, the housekeeping staff took it away. Had to ask again.|Coming to food, BF is complimentary, on day 1 we had asked for light lunch, rice sambar, rasam papad, curds, pickle. Which was ready, as the rooms were not fully occupied, the restaurant was partially closed. |The rasam was not tasty, lot of garlic.|The BF every morning had idli, dosa, hot vadas, pongal ( needs improvement) a sweet, coffee , tea. BF starts at 8 which is very late, being a tourist and temple destination, we would like to leave early in the morning. So please change the BF time to 7.

Really enjoyed the comfortable stay at Sundex. Food was delicious. Location is perfect at walkable distance to the station. The staff were really hospitable and made the stay very pleasant. They also helped us with arranging cab and auto service. Highly recommend this stay for anyone visiting thanjavur.

We stayed at the suite room for a night and the stay was quite disappointing. The room was pretty dusty and we kept sneezing the whole night. Worst part were the small red ants in the room which spoiled all the baby food we were carrying. We had to throw out all the food and clean up the food bags that we were carrying. Breakfast was decent, though the coffee was very disappointing.The best part is its location, right in the heart of town and very accessible.

Hi folks This hotel is good for family to stay. The room, food are good Room could have been a bigger for triple occupancy. But a delight to stay here as its less crowded

A very well maintained facility.Fantastic place for the safe stay with family. Near to the Brigadeswara big temple and the proximity is great. Very nice staff and rooms are big and extra clean. Breakfast is included which starts only 8 am as per them, but for us it started only at 8:30 am which delayed some of our plans. It is good to start by 7 am considering the family members including aged people and kids. In house restaurant is fantastic and very well prepared. Better to give the order like 2 hours before your desired time to have. This avoids the delay as the kitchen staff is slow and getting familirised it seems. But they prepare good fresh food with great taste.

Really Great place.. Good location and Great Staff.. I had booked a service apartment. The rooms were extremely good and justified the pricing. Would definitely recommend to anyone..
