Orange Homestay

This was the most welcoming homestay we experienced during our entire 2 week trip to Kerala and Tamil Nadu! We booked a double bedroom (which had more than sufficient storage). We were happy to see a very secure entryway and pleasantly surprised to see a washing machine (available to use with charge). The property was clean throughout and included a lovely dining area and a spacious bathroom with hot water readily available. Orange Homestay is in a great location within walking distance of the big temple on a quiet residential street. The owner (Viji) was incredibly friendly and forthcoming with support, even providing a delicious home-cooked breakfast during our stay. And huge kudos to her son Rishi, who was a friendly and warm point of contact throughout our time there, going out of his way to offer us advice and support with any issues or queries, booking a taxi for our onward travel prior to leaving the homestay. Viji also owns a bakery and we thoroughly recommend the brownies - these were delicious and made with healthy ingredients :) Overall, we would thoroughly recommend Orange Homestay. We've noted other reviews which comment on daily housekeeping as a suggestion which is fair, but this did not take away from our lovely time here. It was the perfect base for our time in Thanjavur!

Property is well maintained, pretty clean, and well organised. For example, contacts for tea, coffee, auto rickshaws were very helpful. Support from host Rishi was excellent, and always prompt. Stayed with family, and we felt at home. Though kitchen facilities were not available, we could easily get food from Zomato. Very calm location in a residential area, and temple is walkable. We liked especially the bright colors, and the ample space outside for any group activities, games, etc, and for a relaxed sit out! Overall, we enjoyed our stay for 2 days, and will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Tanjore Suggestions: Getting help in clearing the bins, some housekeeping stuff can be helpful. Some basic utilities like a hot water kettle, microwave oven can be handy.

An excellent stay. The homestay was neat, clean, and artistically decorated with vintage items like speakers, old TVs, and radios. A unique and cozy experience for our family. The owner was very cordial and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

The hotel is well-located in the city center, making it convenient for travel. The overall service is good, and we had a pleasant stay. However, daily housekeeping, including room cleaning services, should be provided for better maintenance. The car rental service is efficient and convenient. A price reduction of up to 20% would make the accommodation more affordable.

We stayed with orange home stays in Jan '25 for 1 night. The location of Orange home stay is very convenient and within Tanjavur city. It is very close to main temple. It has very large parking space hence we could easily park our car. The house was well maintained and clean. The host were available for check and everything was taken care we had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend for family or small groups

Recently I stayed here. Property owner took advance to book room and collected full tariff as soon as we reached residence. On vacating room receipt/bill not provided, even after I demanded, she refused to give bill. No staff / security staying in this building. In case of emergency no body is available. The boy who is handing over room key doesn't know how to talk with customer. I will not visit again. I suppose to stay till 5.00PM on that day, but I informed you 10.01AM that I am vacating and waited 12 minutes, but no one came, then we left by locking the door and kept key on door. You said homestay will not give invoice. For your information your not running home stay as per NITI and Tourism guide line it is partially commercial.

The host was amazingly attentive and fulfilled all our wishes and enquiries. He deliverd delicious home made dinner and breakfast. We had a wonderful stay in a peaceful place near to all main attractions.

An exceptional stay! The place was spotless, well-maintained, and perfectly located near key attractions. The owner's warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely prefer to stay here on next trip also. Highly recommend!
