Hotel Gnanam

Excellent hotel, superb sevice and spacious well maintained rooms. The food was a delight. Extremely well take care by each and every person. The person helping you with Igguage, the lady picking up the vessels, the person taking order for food, everyone. The ready to give best service attitude runs in the chain. Quite delighted with the stay.

I'm reviewing the veg restaurant in this hotel. I had the Bombay meal and my friend had the Gnanam Special Meal. The food was excellent. We were served by Shanti who did a great job. She explained in English what each item we were served. The restaurant was very clean and the prices were reasonable. We would eat here again.

Centrally located, clean rooms and friendly staff. Has ample car parking. Food, however is average, hope they add on new items to their menu

I started at Gnanam for two nights in the spacious Executive Suite, at 7000 a night. If I were to return to Thanjavur, I would certainly return to Gnanam. The suite was truly a suite, with separate living, dining, and bed rooms. The suite was well equipped with a full-size refrigerator, multiple AC units, and both a bathtub and Indian-style shower. The decor is no longer contemporary, but everything was clean and the furniture is quality. Lunch at their restaurant was fantastic and room service was prompt. Breakfast was okay. Booking and payment was easy. I was able to reserve a room directly through their website, and international credit cards are accepted. When I needed to book a full-day taxi on short notice, the staff were very helpful, and handled it all.

I'm not Satisfied with the stay ( 11&12 March 2025 ) It's at good location but they not updating in the Google site 1. For example it's 100 meters away from old Bus stand . This is more important to the new traveler. 2. They're given a mobile contact no in the Google website but the Operating Staff doesn't have a curtsy to communicate the message received or no manners of handling the mobile . Even not updating the landline phone no's in the site. 3. Mr Sathish's kumar From Non vegetarian Restaurant said by 10:15 pm restaurant was closed last food order by 10pm but it's mentioned in the menu that last order by 10:15pm and restaurant dinner timing was 8-10:30 pm . 4. No adequate charging points inside the room 5. AC , Ventilation was not good .

Large and spacious rooms, reasonable breakfast. The hotel is not very clean. As if they clean in the center of the room and not in the corners. Especially in the bathroom. Mattresses hard as a rock. Smell of urine in the bed. It was terrible

One of the finest facilities available within Thanjavur city. Hotel is bit old but they offer you all the required amenities. Rooms were very spacious and clean, same with Toilets. There were more than enough supply of toiletries. Location is very convenient and Thanjavur Big temple is less than 1km away. Staff were well behaved and breakfast buffet was good and tasty. Overall a classic stay at budget friendly price.

A little bad experience being at the centre of the town thought it would be great but not as it looks. Rooms smell on the 3rd floor..bed bugs.. unreasonable charges for water...ac was slow and not much cooling, tv-pressing the button once to change channel automatically changes 10 channels..quilt didn't cover the full bed to cover ourself..paying 4K + for a bed bug room is not worth it..first and last..
