PVN Resort, Shenkottai

We had an unforgettable stay at PVN Resort and can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and attention from the owner, whose presence and availability throughout our stay made all the difference. He truly cares about the land, the trees, and his guests. One of the most unique highlights was the morning mango-picking sessions. The resort is home to over 40 varieties of mangoes--many may look similar to an untrained eye, but each one had its own distinct taste and character. It was a rare and delightful experience to taste-test so many different mangoes straight from the trees. The property spans a beautiful 50 acres, primarily planted with mango, but also filled with amla, teak, puliyamaram, bananas, sapota, and other fruit trees. It's a peaceful, green paradise. We also enjoyed the fountian waterfall--a refreshing spot for a dip. Our room was spacious, very clean, and equipped with AC, though we barely needed it even in peak summer. Thanks to the constant cool breeze coming from the mountains, the weather stayed surprisingly comfortable. Nights were quiet, and the calmness of the surroundings was just what we needed. The location is also convenient--just a few minutes' drive to Shencottai town, which is vibrant, tidy, and has everything you might need, including great veg and non-veg messes and restaurants. We also had delicious homemade meals arranged directly at the resort--fresh, perfectly spiced, and tailored just for us. We felt like truly special guests in a very special place. We visited in late April, right at the peak of summer, and it was already magical. We can't wait to return during the cooler, drizzly season that everyone says is even more beautiful.
