Cholaa Dynasty - A Bergamont Hotel, Kumbakonam

The hotel is located in swamimalai with peaceful atmosphere. Has good parking space. Customer service was good. The booking and check in process was seamless. Everything was completed in phone call. They require full payment during booking which is okay considering their policy. The rooms are nice and spacious but could improve their cleaning little more. Overall a fantastic hotel with a spa and restaurant. Don't play with turkey they aren't very friendly (Saw someone chased to their rooms by turkey)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Chola Dynasty Hotel at Kumbakonam and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One standout team member was Debipriya. Her warm smile and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression on me. She was always attentive, checking in to make sure I had everything I needed and offering helpful recommendations. Her positive attitude truly enhanced my experience. The food at the hotel was also outstanding! It was a delightful blend of flavors, beautifully presented, and made with fresh ingredients. Overall, my stay at Chola Dynasty was fantastic, thanks in large part to the wonderful service from Debipriya and the delicious food. I stayed at Cholaa Dynasty Hotel, Kumbakonam for 3 nights and 4 days, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The property is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, with a perfect balance of traditional charm and modern amenities. Every corner reflects thoughtful care and attention to detail. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Steward Debapriya Sahoo at the Restaurant, who took care of us like family. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine concern for our comfort made all the difference. Right from meal suggestions to small personal touches, Debapriya went above and beyond to ensure we felt completely at home. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, and the entire team made us feel truly welcomed. If you are visiting Kumbakonam, I would highly recommend staying at Cholaa Dynasty Hotel for an authentic, comfortable, and memorable experience. A well-maintained hotel with courteous staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Most aspects of the stay were satisfying. However, mobile network coverage is poor, and the Wi-Fi was quite disappointing -- definitely an area they need to fix. The food was decent, though the filter coffee could be much better, especially in a town like Kumbakonam that's known for it.

A very good place to stay. Clean rooms and outsides, good decor, well functioning AC, clean sheets. Well designed place. Overall the place is great, food did not keep up with the rest of the standards. Lot of oil in all preparations. Vegetables were carelessly cut, doesn't reflect care. Breakfast spread was just ok. Refill could have been faster. More varieties and more yummy food expected because everything else in this place was great

We were looking for good hotel in Kumbakonam. Found it on website and booked. We as a family of 6 people stayed in the King Suite for three days from 22/4/25 to 25/4/25. We expected a usual hotel to our surprise it was really great started off at the reception to the room service to the restaurants was great. The Hotel is not far from main city hence travelling was at ease . it is in calm location and ambience is great The Service staff were very friendly The restaurant guys were great very helpful and caring The whole experience was very great thenks to Manager Mr. Brindavanam who made our stay memorable Now my Kumbakonam hotel is fixed

It was a disaster stay. We stayed for 3 nights. While the room was good, the restaurant was awful beyond imagination. The food was ordinary, especially no south indian options apart from meals during lunch. But the service was absolutely pathetic. Staff were all disinterested, they will not be even in sight. Even if they are available, they will be standing in some corners and never bothered to come to guests for any service. Breakfast time is 7AM, but all dishes will be available only after 7:30AM. Similarly, lunch time starts at 12:30pm but food will be ready only after 1pm. When complained, the restaurant manager was very aggressive and told that 7AM is their staff entry time not food ready time, similarly 12:30PM is their staff entry time and not food available time (wow!). We have stayed here in the past and the restaurant used to be a great place when Mathi/Amarnath/Priya were there. And now, it is a fall from grace and its a free fall too.
