Hotel Nakshathra- A Royal Stay

Excellent Stay at Nakshatra Hotel I had a great experience staying at Nakshatra Hotel with my family. The family room was spacious, and the washroom was clean and well-maintained. The location is very convenient - short walk to the Palani Sri Muruga Temple cable car station. The hotel also has a vegetarian restaurant that serves tasty food, which was a big plus. Parking facilities are available, and the staff were professional and courteous throughout our stay. Recommend for families visiting Palani Thank you

We had a wonderful stay here, rooms were clean, reception staff behavior was nice, good infrastructure, mild delay in service could be due to short staff but was good overall stay. The most good part is temple proximity and walkable distance only. In food tiffin were nice but meals were poor. Rooms were very clean and nice. Overall a good stay. Will recommend to others. Seems to be bit costly but ok with the amenities provided. The good thing is their check out time policy unlike other hotels which is highly appreciable.

Best Hotel around. Calm and Quiet Area. Staffs are very great in handling guest. Nearby rope car ticket counter. Food over here is Awesome and they do 24hrs room service, Dining area is quiet crowded, because of the quality of the food. Which is very great. Keep up the Work.

Disappointing Experience -- Twice I booked a 1-night stay at Nakshathra A Royal Stay in Palani based on the great reviews and attractive photos on their website. My intent was to give my wife and sister a comfortable and pleasant experience. Unfortunately, both visits--one in the summer of 2024 and the second on May 16, 2025--were far from satisfactory. During the first visit, we had to dispute the total charge at the front desk, which differed from what was originally reserved. While the issue wasn't about the money, the manner in which it was handled was unacceptable. The front desk staff were unprofessional and dismissive, treating my family with a lack of respect. Thankfully, a gentleman who appeared to be the manager stepped in, de-escalated the situation, and apologized, stating that the staff were still in training. He encouraged us to give the hotel another chance. Believing in second chances, I made another reservation in May 2025, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, the same pattern repeated. Two staff members at the front desk got into a disagreement--one insisting on an upfront payment in a demeaning and disrespectful manner, while the other said it wasn't necessary. This unprofessional behavior created an awkward and uncomfortable situation for my wife and sister. To make matters worse, the room and bathroom were visibly dirty and poorly maintained. Overall, both experiences left us extremely disappointed. I would caution future guests: do not be misled by online reviews or edited photos. In my opinion, even some two-star hotels are likely to offer better service and cleanliness. If you're considering staying here, I strongly recommend doing a thorough review in person if possible, and not relying solely on online information.

Very Very bad experience We booked three rooms There was water leakage through window for a short rain , lift was not working. Two rooms keys were not working. My elderly parents were shifted up and down due to their poor maintenance To add to all, the dining is so unhygienic Full of flies. Strongly recommend not to choose

Recently booked a room for our parents at Nakshathra hotel at Palani. Our parents were so happy about the stay. The room was clean and the bathrooms were tidy as well. They had a wonderful stay as well. Will definitely come back to Hotel Nakshathra. Kudos to the team and keep up the good work.

Room is good, reception staff are very helpful. Room service is nice. It was a family trip and everyone were satisfied of hotel and the over all trip, as it was a pleasant stay experience at the hotel.

This is a great place to stay in Palani, conveniently located near Gate 1. It is within walking distance to the cable car and offers easy access to battery-operated vehicles, the train, or the steps leading to the temple. The location is highly convenient. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with spacious rooms. While breakfast is not included in the stay, there is a restaurant available in the lobby area. The property also offers ample parking space. However, the behavior of the reception staff was highly disappointing. As part of the package, an extra bed was supposed to be provided. Despite informing them nearly five times, both before and after visiting the temple, the bed was only provided around 10 PM. The two receptionists lacked professionalism, did not know how to greet or interact with customers, and avoided making eye contact. Improved customer service could significantly enhance the experience at this otherwise great property.
