Hotel Green Ridge

One of my favourite hotels in Salem. Whenever I visit Salem I used to stay in this hotel. This is always top of my list. Because the rooms and their bar. Very neat and good service. Value for money.

I had a disappointing experience at Vintage Bar. The service was subpar, and the in-charge, Vivek, was unprofessional and unhelpful. Instead of ensuring a pleasant experience for customers, he seemed indifferent and inattentive. The overall ambiance was ruined by poor management, slow service, and a lack of customer care. If you're looking for a good time, I'd recommend avoiding this place. There are far better options nearby where you'll get better service and a more welcoming atmosphere.

I reached this place at 5am. The person on the reception said only suite room is available for Rs3,800/-. I showed him that the price is showing as Rs2,000/- in trip advisor. He said that price is only if i check in at 12pm. If i have to check in at 5am, the price is Rs3,800/-. So i did not check in and left. Looked like a decent place from outside, did not see how it is inside. But too costly and they tell abnormal prices.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. When we reached late night to book a room, they said only suite is available costing 2700. The suite room they gave was just a normal room where the ac was also not working properly. They just use last-minute desperation to fleece customers. I have previous experiences with this hotel and it is absolutely not worth the price. But sadly there aren't many decent hotels nearby and hence they keep getting business.

It's not a hotel more like a bar joint and go mattai place I guess. Not suitable for families. Rooms rather pods or a box or container with no windows are 10x10 with just enough space for the bed no space to even move around. It's suffocating and claustrophobic. Staff are unprofessional untrained in hotel management and out right rude, playing loud jing chak koothu songs early in the morning for breakfast and when asked to stop the music the staff started playing music on their mobiles loud. when asked for filter water he was like what? While the hotel is bang on the NH ring road and has ample parking space the professionalism of staff and size of rooms which is nauseating is not worth the 2k they charge for it. Even a local lodge will be more spacious and owners more courteous in oyo type hotels. Not to mention grinding motor noise from the exhaust or what ever from the window less dungen. Pls avoid at any cost even if it's just for a stop over on the way to some place. Update:- I paid 1900 in goibibo...+650 more on checkout..I had also asked for an upgrade and they mentioned they only had a suite which needs 2.5k to upgrade. So dont reply with stories. I was arm twisted and given no choice .I had to stay in the same room asking for an extra bed for 700 but there was no space to put a 2.5 feet bed in any side so you can imagine how small the pod container called room was. I even agreed to pay 300 for the extra 10 year on son. All I needed is a stop to continue my journey to Bangalore... Atleast mention in your room description. It's not a room but a dungeon for drunk bachelors and not family and not waste our time. No one can live in a window less room it's like isolation prison how did you even think of building such a room it violated human rights to ventilation... And most importantly train your staff how to behave with customers especially you are not positioning as a local lodge which is better these days with some standardization.

Worst experience with family. Besides fleecing customers showing a double occupancy room as a triple one, the linens were unclean, no tissues in the rest room and the food was worse. Hari was at the front desk and wasn't very helpful. Will never recommend anyone to stay in this dingy hotel

No hygiene at all. they do not change the bedspread. toliet floors are slippery. worst experience. definitely not recommendef

Very good hotel. Staff are very cooperative. Restaurant staff "Tamil" is very nice person. Highly recommend
